Well, it is maybe not as easy for a newbie, you need to use this script:

and launch it with something like :

sudo ./AVIC.sh firmware.zip 5200 160

you may need to change the folder name in your firmware zip file and/or modify the script, you can comment things about boot in the script if you do not have mkboot or others utilities like that.

Also using this method, warp disabled itself and you always have a slow boot.

Basically this make the system platform image mountable in your linux, you can modify things in etc scripts or libs or whatever, then it re-creates a PJ160PLT.PRG file you have to replace on your USB stick, and flash it in testmode like I wrote.

anyone know what file it is you replace  just to add the "mute button" on maps ?

I see this thread has been updated to indicate that the crack works with the latest firmware for the AVIC-NEX8000 (1.14).

Can anyone confirm whether this crack is working with the latest firmware for the AVIC-NEX7100/AVIC-NEX8100 (1.09) as well?

Can someone tell me,how I can the sppedcam for Germany can be the same as the indicated and which file I have to take then I copy into the folder sppedcam have made me new maps and poi only with the sppedcams will not work

Yes - i just installed the iGo-Crack (#435).

Afterwards i made a copy from iGo to USB (taking a while...), replaced Map-Files for my county only, and inserted the lic-file.

Then back from USB to AVIC.

This is all described in earlier posts!

It looks like you guys have accomplished some pretty cool stuff. Since the headunits are able to be unlocked for custom roms and other stuff is there any chance we can load the 8200 update on an 8100 so I can use the gauges feature with the maestro rr. I have the gauges option in my settings but it is grayed out. From the research I did they blocked the gauges feature on the 8100 but it works on the 8200.

I have an issue with my avic970dab unit.

1. I cannot pair phone in iGo

2. I cannot remove previously paired phones

3. Car play does not work. The unit only shows the ipod logos

4. AVICSYNC app does not connect to iGo

I have tried to reset navi, bluetooth etc. But iGo paired devices are not reset.

Is there a way to completely reset the device?

Now, you can put any content on the device for which you have a working license.

After installing the patch, your maps software will take any content with any valid license for that content.

Even if the license from another device (check of license hardware id (SWID) is disabled in our libraries).

 

You can copy manually content and licenses through File Manager, using copy_script or by inserting internal sd card into your PC.

Don't forget to set proper filesystem rights to newly copied files.
