Password  'Dracarys' with ' 10 characters . Im used 32 GB SD Card Werde jetzt mit 8 GB versuchen

So Feedback von mir. Installation ist immer bei 99% unterbrochen worden, egal was für SD Karte ich benutzt habe ! Danach ist überhaupt nichts mehr gegangen: Aktualisierung Fehler    ! Habe auf Festplatte Update von 2013 gefunden und dachte    versuche mal ....Und das hat Funktioniert mit 32 GB Card !!! Habe dann von RonS ShortFuseScript ausgeführt und weiter alles nach Anleitung !!! Hat super geklappt !!!

step 2: unpack shortfusescript on a fat32 SD card

step 3 Run script on F20BT ( just place SD card and touch a key when asked.(wait 1 minute eject sd card .do not turn off avic!!!

Step 4: unpack zip 2017 update on at least 4GB sd card. password 'Dracarys'

step 5: place sdcard in F20BT and RESTART !!!

step 6: choose update procedure yes. When asked use PASSWORDPASSWORD as password.

sd card fat32  4gb - 2017 update (FIRMWARE.UPDATE,CARDINFI.cif 2015 for avic F10,F20)

 maps does not update bluetooth update if updated

thanks to everyone .... can anyone tell me the steps for the successful installation of the 2017 update for avic f940bt? Do you also need to replace the string in the cardinfo file? thanks for the collaboration in advance!

Yes!!! F930BT

 

Succesfull and even simpeler then i thought.

 

step 1: download download shortfusescript.zip and  2017 update file

step 2: unpack shortfusescript on a fat32 SD card

step 3 Run script on F930BT ( just place SD card and touch a key when asked.

Step 4: unpack 2017 update on at least 4GB sd card.

step 5: place sdcard in F930BT and restart 

step 6: choose update procedure yes. When asked use PASSWORDPASSWORD as password.

enjoy... for this F930BT type no other steps are needed. ( probably because its the original for this type and several others)

I confirm it works on a F840BT and it takes about 20 minutes to complete.

F930BT and F940BT are same models. Thus the same procedure as above.

Nope, didn't tried it yet. I dont have the car during the day, will try it tonight.

Btw, here is CARDINFO.CIF file for update to be recognised on AVIC-F20BT (and F10BT i assume) unit.

NOTICE: I dont take any responsibility if the update bricks your device, since i havent tested it myself yet.

Tried the update on my F920BT, short fuse patch worked, update started afterwards but stopped at 93%

Will try another SD card but it would be nice if someone can confirm which cardinfo.cif I would need for the 920BT.

You have the correct cardinfo if the update started. Once that happens, it doesn't matter. Are you sure you didn't change any other files? Use an 8GB SD.

Only have a 4Gb and a 32Gb one to try, will try on the 32Gb one.....hopefully I have more succes.

I trust the original files from godzilla's zip are fine for the F920BT and need no altering.

The initial string in my cardinfo was (i believe) #PioneerEL4YD12

Have tried other cardinfo.cif files without succes.

I'd use the 4GB one and I always used the default. Maybe try unchecking quick format. However, I think some have gotten 32GB to work. IDK what sector size they used.

If I would manage to go in testmode (assuming I can launch it with the testmode.key file) which file would I need to delete to recover my unit to old/previous state?

BTW, I hope you used single quotes around the godzilla's password when unzipping. That has been the single biggest (and most likely) problem in this whole thread. That would also cause this problem.

Used the quotes before and after the pw, did see others get that wrong

Hopefully for me it is a combination of ffing around too much with the cif file and using cheap chinese sd knock off cards.

Will go and get a real SD tomorrow and start fresh, now read up on shortfuse's post how I can get out of the update loop.

OK. As I said earlier, if the update actually starts running, the CardInfo is good. BTW, I just noticed you have a US IP address (T-Mobile USA), but have an F 920 and are installing EU maps. What's up?

zrobiłem pełny format karty na 32 i potem wgrałem na nią soft, ...nie pomogło, jak również te same próby na innych kartach, ten sam komunikat żądający włożenia karty

próbowałem zamienić PRO itd to co opisywaliście wyżej i jest tak

teraz jest nowy wpis o treści:
