Only averages 100 visitors online 24/7, clearly dead. /sarcasm

I can't remove it since it is helpful for older units, and I'm not in the business of censoring posts, however I have added a warning as requested.

Fixed the links here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35-step-by-step-guide-to-making-custom-backgrounds/?p=118 Some sort of link weirdness from the multiple forum updates I suspect, as the files were still there.

Not sure what happened to PIMViewer, I'll take a look, but PIMMGR is here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/29-custom-pim-image-application/?p=105

Pioneer Password required for Here map updates? (AVIC-Z140BH)
JasonH replied to fjvanwet's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
Some of the purchased map updates require a password retrieved from Pioneer's site: https://www.pioneernavigationupdate.com/navigationupdate/ -
If you want it to work properly, you'll need the real deal: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter

If you're reading this, you're on the new Google Compute Engine powered site! If you see any issues with the site, please reply to this topic. Thanks, Jason

Most of my contacts have left Pioneer, as such, we haven't been invited to CES since 2011. However, I did create a forum here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/forum/63-nex/

Repaired screen, now navigation wont read disc
JasonH replied to fearthisinc's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
I don't remember the procedure but I'm sure it's around here somewhere. There's a way to "erase" the flash memory in the service menu and then reload from the disc. -
Probably need a powered/diversity antenna adapter.
-
Very unlikely; totally different hardware, but who knows.

Select the TTS voice in the settings.

appradio and back camera problems
JasonH replied to rastrello37's topic in AppRadio, AppRadio 2, AppRadio 3
Check the reverse wire going to the app radio. It sounds like the reverse wire is getting 12 volts making the appradio think the car is in reverse. -
Just about anything is smaller than WAV files. 256k MP3 should work nicely. If the mp3 files have proper IC3 tags, they'll be displayed.

AppRadio2 SPH-DA100 Update V8.30
JasonH replied to Element905's topic in AppRadio, AppRadio 2, AppRadio 3
I can vouch for that. A lot of the "modern" flash drives have issues because they're not strictly a USB Mass Storage Device. A lot of flash drives have U3, or other features that interfere with units like the AVIC. The most basic the flash drive the better. Most of the older 2GB and smaller ones should work without a problem.- 82 replies

How do I activate auxiliary input? :(
JasonH replied to oogachacca's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
Just turn Aux on in the menu and then select it as your source. Although, I am curious as to why you used a IPBus RCA instead of the built in input. -

I believe on the 920 it's over one spot.

The (correct) bypass allows for full features at any speed.
-
That's not the bypass; all they did was put a switch on the parking break which doesn't do anything. Actual bypass: http://avic411.com/index.php?showtopic=14761
-
The bypass has nothing to do with the VSS. If it's not working, it's not bypassed correctly.
