  1. Has anyone been able to get the phone book to transfer from the Droid to the 4000DVD? I had no problem doing this with my Blackberry but I can't get the transfer to work with the Droid for some reason.
  2. I installed mine yesterday and so far I love it. It sounds way better than my F series, no lag and I can use my Pioneer steering wheel controller I miss the navigation but it never worked half the time anyway.
  3. They sent me a new unit which didn't work much better at all and dies two weeks later. I no longer own a F series and wouldn't recommend it to any of my customers. Good luck with yours.
  4. SO everything works with the 4100DVD? I just got a credit for my F series PILE OF CRAP and it looks like this is the radio that I am going to get with the credit. It will be nice to have a remote control again!
  5. Will, save yourself a lot of time and agrivation and wait for the new Pioneer units to come out. THe Avic F series have been discontinued and the new models should be out in a month or so. Coming from a profesional installer of 17 years I would say the F series is the WORST pioneer unit I have ever installed with a return rate of 50% at our shop alone. I had one customer that was so angry with his that he punched a hole in his screen. I am on my third unit and I bet it will be just like the first two. Don't get me wrong, when a customer walks into my shop I always recommend a pionner unit just
  6. I wish I was, I have had at least 30 pioneer units over the years and this is the first one that is a total POS. Do some searching and you will find many others that have the same issues. There are some happy customers here for sure but I think for the most part the F series stands for FAILURE! By the way this is my second 900BT, on the first one the Bluetooth and voice recognition wouldn't work. I replaced the mic but that wasn't the problem, it was in the unit.
  7. Yeah 3 weeks was about as long as my 900BT lasted too. Pioneer needs to figure something out quick. NOT A HAPPY PIONEER CUSTOMER You can try reloading the 2.0 update but if yours is like mine it wouldn't stay on long enough to do anything. Its back at pioneer and I am on my second week with a hole in my dash
  8. I got a update on my unit yesterday, according to my supplier they are going to be sending me out a "new" unit next week. When I asked if it was brand new he said no its a re-formatted unit. When I told him that was a refurb he said No it wasn't it was just re-formatted.....LOL. When I told him that I didn't want someones used radio that already had problems he asked me why I was complaining and that I got a deal on the unit to begin with. Needless to say this supplier will never get my business again. The part that kills me is I still think Pioneer makes some of the best sounding radio's on t
  9. I was just informed today that I will be getting a REFERB radio in the place of my 3 week old radio that I sent in. I am not happy at all and I feel real sorry for the customers I have sold this radio to. It baffles my mind that after buying and selling Pionner for over 15 years that they refuse to give a credit for a def radio and will send a refurbished radio in its place. If there is one mark on the refurb radio or doesn't operate PERFECTLY I will be contacting the BBB and getting my money back for sure. This is by far the most frustrating problem I have had in a long time.
  10. I am going through the same thing right now and I am not happy. I am on my second 900bt and its won't do a thing but sit in the dash and look pretty. I called Pioneer and they say I have to send it in. The company I bought it from said they won't refund my money because the unit is discontinued and pioneer won't issue a credit or refund to them. If you can get your money back do it now and wait till june when the new X series comes out. If I get this radio back and its still garbage I will be calling the better business bureau next and getting my money back for sure.
  11. I have been a fan of Pioneer since I started driving 15 plus years ago but they are starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth with the Avic F series nav systems. The first one I installed in my car had a problem with the bluetooth, nobody could hear me. I swapped out mic's but that didn't fix the problem. I sent the stereo back to my vendor and he sent me a new one. The bluetooth on the new one was better than the first but still nowhere near the quality of other systems I install for a living. Then after a couple weeks my F series just won't boot anymore, I tried everything to get it booted i
  12. There is no IR sensor on the radio so it isn't possible to use a wireless remote. The only way you are going to be able to use a remote is if you car or truck has steering wheel controls.....bummer for sure.
  13. I can't get past step one....Even with the update SD card in the unit won't stay on. It lights the buttons for about 10 seconds and then shuts down. I can hear the fan running but that is about it.
  14. I have a three week old 900bt that just did the blank screen thing yesterday. I don't have the hadrware or software bypass so Pioneer is WRONG. I am going to try hitting the map button and see if I can get my unit to boot. I do know for sure that I had the backup cam disabled on my unit.
  15. I forgot how to do it and I am on vacation trying to search with my cell phone. If anyone knows the procedure please post it. Thanks for the help.
