  1. I've searched and haven't seen this particular problem. My Z140 starts up fine and functions normally for about a minute, then all of a sudden the screen becomes unresponsive and all the buttons act like the ">" button including eject. If I hit volume up or down, the volume changes but it also acts like I hit the ">" button as well. Anyone come across this?I had this problem a couple of years ago with my Z3 before I threw it away.
  2. I have both and they are virtually identical. For some reason my z series doesn't display any text for my presets. I like that the x940 has a volume knob. So, I think it basically comes down to whether or not you want a volume knob or bigger screen.
  3. I've upgraded from an f90bt to Z140 and the difference in responsiveness is night and day.
  4. Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just have to roll the dice and buy a new unlocked one.
  5. I updated my z1 to z3 a few years ago and now my unit is freezing after about 5 minutes of being on. Unfortunately I threw away my old drive about 2 weeks ago and I wanted to see if it was the HD that's on its way out. Does anyone have an original drive they can either let me borrow or sell to me. I don't want to buy a new updated one to find out it isn't the problem.
  6. Can someone explain the difference between these 2? I think I've done the fx3.1 to my F90bt a couple years ago and wanted to update my f900 but I'm not sure which one to do.
  7. 2001 Lexus GS400 completely stock with stock amp. Worked fine for months than all of a sudden after about an hour of driving I hear a pop than no sound. Sometimes the sound comes back on by itself sometimes I have to shut the car off. Sometimes I can bang on the dash and the sound will come back on. I've pulled it out to see if theres loose wire but there isn't. Since there is no harness for a gs400 I used splice connectors because I didn't want to cut up the oem harnesses. The unit is mounted using the OEM mounts.
  8. I installed an f90bt in my 01 gs400 without bypassing the amp.
  9. I have a f90bt, D3 and Z1. Although having to use a nav disc on the d3 it's still my favorite.
  10. I'm now having this problem. I haven't really had any problems with my unit since I bought it 2 months ago and now all of a sudden the sound cuts out once the unit warms up. After about 30 minutes of driving the sound goes out usually until I shut the car off and on. Whats the manufacturers warranty on these things anyway? It's an f90bt.
  11. Everyone I know in arkansas has problems with there gps, that includes garmins and tomtoms. It will tell you to take turns through rice and corn fields. I find it pretty funny! But thats in northern arkansas.
  12. has anyone figured this out or have the same problem. Mine started after doing the z3 upgrade. I have the same problems with the indicator arrow drifting and sometimes being off track. If I reset the learning status it'll temporarily fix it. Seems like when this happens it'll say excessive vibration and the vss stops working. The head unit is mounted perfectly using the oem mounts on a lexus gs so I dont believe it can be from a bumpy ride.
  13. I just bought a z1 with z3 upgrade. I don't see a video output wire, is there any way to connect a set of headrest monitors to play the video from my z1?
