  1. I can comment on the W900. I have an AVIC Z1, INA-W900, and now an AVIC Z130BT. I originally bought the 900 because I wasn't happy with Pioneer's interface on the Z1, in hindsight I should have bought the Z110(current model at the time). I HATE the Alpine unit. I'm not hating for the sake of hating, I used to be pro-alpine everything but they've really gone downhill lately. I'll touch on each of your points specifically so I don't just end up ranting about it. 1. Nav has 6m POI's vs. 12m in the Pioneer - I don't really use POI's, but I find even the Pioneer lacking in my area, so I can onl
  2. There is an extra box that plugs in in-line with the antenna lead on the Z130. It is for the traffic tuner and RDS as far as I know. I have not seen any RDS info come up on screen on my Z130, so I don't know if it works.
  3. Turn the navigation guidance voice off. It won't read you the options it will just beep and you can say what you want/need to next. You'll also lose the navigation turn by turn instructions if you do this though.
  4. This week is the first week they've been available here so I'm guessing that it should be added to the site soon... I've seen RDS working in some other vehicles, so there are stations here that send that signal out. The Garmin link you posted earlier says that European customers have a lifetime subscription included in the purchase of that tuner. American customers have one year included and it's $60/yr after that. No mention of Canada, so I guess we're screwed like always. lol, oh well, we'll get everything eventually.
  5. No, I'm in Canada and that's probably why it won't work. Does the same unit show RDS data for FM stations? I haven't seen any yet and if it does do I need to turn it on?
  6. What are the limitations for it geographically? Mine just says no service available, so right now it's a useless box stuck behind my dashboard.
  7. I just got one the other day and it has the owners manual on a CD. The only printed copies are the install manual and the quick start guide. I guess Pioneer is trying to save a few trees.
  8. Thanks for the advice. I just made the drawing.
  9. I am planning to install my Z1 into my new Mazda 3, and from what I've read it's pretty cramped behind the deck, especially with a double din unit. I was thinking of removing the wires from the connectors that I don't need on this install (such as all of the extra RCA's as I have no external amplifier yet or additional video monitors). Has anyone ever done this? Thanks

    A few things...

[quote name="Anonymous"]1.) Why does the street # not show up in the addresses, it just says the street names, and it seems like they don't stick when you plot out a destination. My home address for example shows my house at the begining of the road were in fact its at the end of our dead end street. I was able to. I was able to correct it just by selecting my position in the driveway and making a waypoint marker there. Now my Go Home button points to that instead of a numbered address. Anyone else have this issue? 2.) There seems to be noise in the LCD's picture. If you look real clo
