  1. Actually, all the kits I saw was wirelesly connected to a small LCD (ie: Alarm Clock type of lcd, not a screen), that would show the tire pressure. Something like this: http://cgi.ebay.ca/WIRELESS-TIRE-PRESSU ... dZViewItem But what I am looking would be something I can connect to my Avic and view the data on the screen Thanks!
  2. Think it would be great if I could find one of those Wireless Tire Pressure sensor (you know, the little plug you put on your tire that beam info to a main unit with a small lcd that display you 4 tire pressure), but with RCA Video output. This way, we could link this to the D3 and be able to monitor without having a useless lcd screen only for this. I saw tons of those units but without video output. Would any of you know something that would send video? Thanks!
  3. That's exactly what I am doing Tuesday. Guy told me he never plugged an illumination cable for the past few years... Seems that some folks reported issue with it. Anyways, it will be fixed Tuesday! Thanks!
  4. When the installer did the installation of my D3, he suggested not to plug this cable to avoid the unit using the dimmer feature, witch can weaken the lcd lamp.. I said OK but did not thought it would be such a difference (according to what people says). So this is why I wanted to see the difference in nav colors. So the map background turns black? The roads are what, green? Car would still be a red arrow? Looks the same...???? It'a also good to know that you can ajust the dimmer setting manually, good stuff! Thanks!
  5. Does someone has a picture that could show the diffrerence between day and night (Like the nav screen changing colors?) Thanks!
  6. From what I understand, for Canada, it will only work if you are a US subscriber with US equipment and you travel to Canada. NavTraffic is NOT available to Canada Market yet Also, seems that for TO and Mtl, you would only get accidents and not full traffic
  7. Just burn a new CD with your own files! Don't touch to the map dvd.

    D3 Pet Peeves

This just give me another one. In the ipod, could be great if we could use the scroll bar instead of pressing on the arrow down. When you have a good collection, it's pretty long to go at the bottom of the list. Also, It does not display the name of the selection you are in. So if I am in a artist list, it will not tell me that I am in this directory. Same thing for selections. Steven

    - I would like to see if my phone (via bluetooth) is connected in other AV modes). Or be able to see Signal Strench and Battery. - Have an option to remove the red direction bar in NAV mode (you know the direct line between home and destination) - AV (Radio/Ipod) would not turn off when entering BT menu. Would only turn off when placing / receiving a call. - Day/Night would work using internal time, not the illumination cable - Put system options in the main AV menu config, not in NAV (Time, Background, etc.) These are main system option, not navigation related options. - S
  11. Calm down now, it was announced a few hours ago!!! Seriously, I think that it would work as apple would not take the risk of changing the connectors. There is too many accessories available.
  12. Wait... you need the whole bypass thing just to set the time???? Ok anyways, I do have the bypass so it does not matter for me if I am rolling or if I am parked.
  13. Go in the Nav Config and click on time. Current time is set for pacific so put it summer time and put a offset for your time zone. It will update minutes by itself!
  14. Good Day, Do you know if there is a way to put the Avic D3 clock in a 24h format? Thanks!
