Just put any navigation disc (for D3) in and it should work. The firmware will get updated based on the disk.

What disc do you put in? Originals? Copies?

I have paired my iPhone 5 to the Avic D3 and it works perfetly (except for siri and I need to start from the phone and barely understand anything via bluetooth). The problem is that after a few minutes, the voice of the person get's all scrambled, I can barely understand what he is saying. Do you guys also have the problem? Thanks!

Sorry, I don't quite understand your concern. The adress you are searching is on the east disk and not on the west disk.... So what is the issue?

First you should change the Layer Break Sector. I did that when I burned the 07 disks and I have not changed it. So I'm not sure if it's important to do but it worked for me. To do this, go into Tools -> Settings Go to the Write Tab At the top right, (Layer Break), click on User Specified Enter 2084960 Click on OK to go back to the main screen. I downloaded the .zip file, unzipped it with winrar (I tried with the zip utility in windows but I had errors) then burned with ImgBurn at 2.4x on a Memorex DVD+R DL Disk. During the past year, I have submitted some changes to teleatlas about a few roads in my area (local road that was not existant and they also built a single lane highway) So far, all the changes I have submitted has been fixed. Just tested it, works like a charm!!!! But what a rip off! Maps are dated 05/2008!!!!! It's already 5 month old!!! Incredible! Why is'nt there an option to download new maps when we want to, just like other gps!

Anyone aware of a SDK development kit for D3? Sometimes, hardware manifacturers releases SDK files for everyone to modify the software and release custom versions. Would be actually nice to be able to build firmware updates without waiting for Pioneer!

Thats great news but unfortunatly it's just an update to the website. The disks willonly be available in august. Another bad news, it states "Map data update only". So forget the firmware update!

Hi Everyone. I have a D3 with Bluetooth module. I am using Microsoft Voice Command on my PDA to dial the numbers and the problem I am facing is that the PDA will often repeat the names or ask for a vocal confirmation of the number. However, If I put the D3 in bluetooth phone mode, I click on Voice, the command is sent correctly to the PDA but when the PDA try to playback something, the D3 does not play it back (obviously, the D3 only play when a call is made). Did someone found a solution about this?

Just a tought.... For tons and tons of hardware, there is always a brain somewhere that develop their own version of the firmware update. So I am just wondering if someone ever tried that for D3. (Maybe not for upgrading the software but at lease updating the maps) Raiden
