  1. Is it possible to recalibrate the screen, mine is way off. It's ok in the middle, but as you get to either side, it gets way off, as if it thinks the screen is another inch or side wide. When I'm trying to enter an address, if I try to hit S, I get T, and if I use my finger nail at the very most left of the screen, I can sometimes get lucky and get an S, but usually a T.. This is using the AVIC-88DVD, but it's not limited to just nav features, the touch screen radio portion does it too. I couldn't find anything in the menu.
  2. At the ecu. Pull out the glovebox, it's behind the glove box.
  3. I have these images, and I've been trying to get them to work.. I can burn the image, the nav unit boots it, it shows the map, shows me where I am, but I can't search for addresses, no POI, I can scroll to something and plot directions to that point, but nothing else.. Any ideas? Using a AVIC-88DVD
  4. good point.. I will try that. thanks.
  5. Would love to, but not sure I want to pay $250 or whatever they cost to find out that doesn't help. I am trying to reflash to the old version I have.. but I can't get past the password entry on the service menu.
  6. I recently acquired a AVIC-88DVD from a friend, and after using it for a while with some old discs, I decided I wanted to upgrade. Partly because I wanted to see the new maps, and partly because I didn't have the WEST disc, and planned to travel to texas.. I got the images for CNDV 70MTP and burned them.. They load ok, but once the unit boots up, most of the time there is no map to be seen.. other times, the map works, but I can't search for a destination, unless it's already in the address book.. I thought maybe it was a bad burn, so I burnt it again, to no avail. I am thinking may
  7. I have a AVIC-88DVD that was under a seat in a previous vehicle, the front cover where the eject button got hit often, unbeknownst to anyone.. the solder joints where the circuit boards connect broke clean on mine.. and just need to be resoldered right now.. That may be the same problem on yours.
