  1. You would probably be best to root your phone and install Appradio Unchained Reloaded
  2. Because ARLiberator and ARUnchained(a free app which does the same thing) are unofficial apps and not made by Pioneer
  3. When I got mine there was no official pioneer cable, I'm not sure if there is one to be honest
  4. As rockthebeef says RCA outs are for plugging into a seperate amplifier only The amplified outs come straight out through the iSO block connector which plugs into your existing radio harness
  5. Been a long time since I did an upgrade but I think I had trouble with one and then tried them in the reverse order or the instructions, the .hat file first and then the yuk and it worked, I also somehow managed to load the US firmware onto my UK radio by mistake which made everything go a bit funny
  6. I don't see it being that unlikely, they want users, if they thought like that they wouldnt release Waze in the app store at all
  7. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/39249-appradio-2-with-standard-30-pin-ipods-not-working/&do=findComment&comment=282648
  8. I think the problem when IOS7 was released was that the code used to support touch input in extensions was no longer usable. This code was based off some code Saurik wrote that supported mouse clicks. BTC Mouse and Trackpad (in Cydia) are working with IOS7 so there is no reason why an extensions app couldn't be written for ios7/8 unfortunately my coding skills only go as far as "Hello World"
  9. I think after all the messing Pioneer do I'd go with an Alpine unit anyday once the price is comparable.
  10. Weird If I use 2.7 with extensions when I close out of an unsupported app the screen goes black and I need to plug the phone out and back in again, spent weeks uninstalling it, uninstalling extensions too, nothing helped, maybe it depends what ios you are on, mine is on 6.1
  11. Best thing you can do is keep the 4s plugged in and tether it to your new phone for an internet connection. You can still connect your new one via bluetooth for the phone
  12. Cool, I can't see any use for appradio mode with car play. Seems to be as cheap as €350 in parts of Europe, busy day in the office tomorrow finding one in stock for a decent price.
  13. That all looks cool, I'm sold, is it just a standard apple lightning cable you need to use?
  14. What reverse camera are you's using, thinking of getting one when I upgrade to AR4, wide angle?
  15. Cheers €429 in Ireland, none in stock yet. I wonder how much I'd get for my AR2, will check out ebay now, if I could get €150 for it be worth the upgrade. Perfect for android users.
  16. Where did you buy it from? Any idea if you can plug an iPod classic into the usb ports?
  17. earlier version of app radio app is linked a couple pages back V2.5.0 edit** http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/34188-appradio-extensions-20-beta-full-iphone-control/page-149&do=findComment&comment=278664
  18. I don't think he's coming back. I think we are gonna have to wait until an ios8 JB is released and then maybe an experienced IOS developer will take an interest and start something new like AR Unchained or else try hack the radio to allow carplay be used somehow although I don't think the bluetooth meets the spec required for carplay.
  19. I'd update the radio firmware to the latest one for starters
