  1. Go into the menus (not sure where it is) and do a factory reset. You'll loose all your settings , but it might bring it back. The reset button on the front is just a hardware reset
  2. Multitask

    power off

What are you looking for besides 'cities' ?
  3. Probably not supported, go the Android Auto web site and see if it is
  4. go to their site and check, but yes they do if the car is listed on their site.
  5. I don'thave access to my 8100 right now (car in shop) but I do remember that it will show blue 'bubbles' where ever there is a POI like a gas station... I think the companies have to pay for the bubbles to show up... I know I've passed by gas station that didn't show up on the map... could be why you don't see anything
  6. I used it mosly as a reference... yes the voice is not all that great as compared to Googles... being that it's not setup by someone who speaks english, but rather someone from another contry, it gets some words (a lot of spanish words in LosAng) As far as the route it picks it is usually as good as Googles... what I really hated was that unless you were RIGHT at the spot it thinks you need to go, it will re-route you a LOT. i.e. if you have it go to CVS, it's going to have you practcly park at the front door before it tells you , you have arrived. At least wiht Gooles Maps it tells you
  7. What businesses are you wanting to see?
  8. Multitask

    power off

only the x200 units I belive, not sure if it's all of them.... any of the x100 and before can't do that
  9. I think the reset button just resets the hardware, not the OS I'd have to go look, but maybe there is a Factory Reset within the menus, try that... you'll loose a lot of settings.... I know there is a way to save some of them to an SD card
  10. then either it's defective, or some key on the unit is stuck
  11. Check the steering wheel, and your adapter, could be somewhere there... On the same note: I have the latest touch, 8100 with the Maestro... my issue has been that some of the songs will ski about 1 second at the start ... BANG plays as ANG ... Or it will skip a second within the song I just live with it cuz I don't want to take out the HU, send it in to Pioneer for 6 weeks living without it and a gapping hole in my dash, then get it back hoping it's 100% fixed....
  12. So that others can help.. What car what steering wheel adapter details
  13. THis is assuming that you have an iPhone that can do Carplay... if not then you'll have to buy one
  14. PLug the USB cable that came with your iPhone into USB1 and set the unit to use Carplay, and it should work...
  15. It wasn't working on my Windows box, and they are trying to figure out why... It would get about 1/2 way and then stop and error out... till then I'll see it this works.
  16. I have the Maestro RR When it was installed, I"m not sure if it just can't do it, or they didn't hook it up right as I can't use the button on the steering wheel , so I just use the button on the screen... Someday I'll have them open it back up and adjust what ever is not setup right
  17. Press and Hold the NAV/MAPS button, that is the toggle from Maps to Camera
  18. My post was about useing the USB2 for firmware updates, that was my error... I'll double check on the SD card for Maps.... Presently I'm in a few emails with them about just getting the darn maps to DL from the naviextras.com site , it poops out after about 1/2 of the files...
  19. Ok, well it was a thought... being that you said it's telling you that the folder contains the wrong info, now it's hard to say. Try re downloading it... you probably did already... Could be a defective file.... call Pioneer to make sure of that...
  20. Are you putting the folder , or the contents of the folder on the USB stick?
  21. I misstyped, it's the USB1 port, I also was just reading that the SD card slot can be used, but I'm not sure how many of the devices actually support that... BUT, that being said, they gave you a USB extension and you didn't use it? I had mine put into the glovebox, making it easy to get to. Take a little more space with the thunderbolt, but in the long run makes it easy to do updates.
  22. Nope, has to be done with USB... USB2 is used for updates, I did it that way last time.
  23. If you downloaded it with a Mac, the mac puts hidden files. If you have a windows box, use that I'll assume you got that folder from the pioneer site.
