  1. It's in the truck. Pics tomorrow. I've only just gotten home and haven't had any time to play with it yet but first impression...it's very fast. Make a selection and something happens immediately. Blows my old Z2 away. I can't wait to personalize it. The shop installed the wrong cable for my iPod so that I can see and control it but no audio. Looking at the Pioneer site the cable should have a dock leading to a USB with another wire that ends in a mini stereo plug but that wire is missing. The one they installed in my truck has the dock but has three wires with red, white, and yello
  2. Ahem...I got mine installed today. Pics will be up in my other thread tomorrow.
  3. Allstate cut my check. Still waiting for the unit to arrive at the shop. Anticipation is killing me!
  4. Bad news is that my Z2 was stolen from my truck on Sunday. The good news is that I have comprehensive coverage and I saw my claim adjuster today. I pointed out the damage and my receipts and he simply told me to go to the stereo shop that I bought it from to get an estimate. Long story short, they're getting me the head unit, Sirius bus unit and receiver, and iPod cable. I'll add an HD receiver and be back in business. The $500 deductible sucks but at least I'm not completely paying for it. Units are supposed to be in on the 13th but they're trying to get mine sent directly to the
  5. Cocksuckers took it in broad daylight from the mall parking lot Sunday afternoon. Punched the drivers side door lock and pulled the dash apart to get it out. AVIC-Z2, SN is GG PG 018501 UC. If you're in the Seattle area and see it in a pawn shop you don't want it. Police have the serial number. I've got insurance so I'll get my stuff back but still sucks. Only good news is that I should have my estimate in hand about the time the new 110BT hits the market. Local dealer expects them in the warehouse on the 13th. If you took my stuff I hope you get screwed in the butt by a camel with
  6. Got the old camera fixed. It seems that the wire harness didn't like getting smacked around by the brushes in the automatic carwash tunnels. Doesn't matter now though. Truck was broken into at the mall today and AVIC is gone. Good thing I have insurance...I smell a 110BT in my future!
  7. $145 at amazon.com. Does that sound about right? From what I've found on Google that doesn't look like a bad price. Mike
  8. My ND-BC2 just died over the weekend so I'm looking for a replacement. I would like to find something in color, with low light capability, that mounts to the license plate. I would like it to have a secure mount or low profile so that it doesn't get ripped off when going through car washes. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks, Mike
  9. Hi all, I have a Z2 in my F150. It was installed at a shop recommended by the dealer but it isn't convenient for me to go there. I have two problems that should be relatively easy to address. First, the headunit is mounted so that it is all the way to the right in the frame, leaving a gap on the left side. How do I get the frame off to adjust the unit to the left? The frame was apparently supplied with the unit. Second, the steering wheel volume control works fine when I want to turn it up but is about 50/50 when I want to turn it down. I'd like to check for an intermittent conne
  10. I've noticed on my Z2 that it hums all the time. I found that turning off the backlight on the display causes it to stip. I probably need to take it back to the shop and point it out to them.
  11. Hey, I'm having a bit of trouble getting the EQ set the way I want it. I want to pull up the low and high ends and attenuate the midrange frequencies. The trouble is, when I adjust one frequency it pulls the adjacents freqs up or down with it. Also, when I select a different frequency I sometimes see large jumps in adjacent freqs. I've been experimenting with Narrow and Wide 1 and 2 settings but I'm still not able to get it dialed in exactly as I want it. Any tricks to adjusting each frequency individually? Thanks, Mike
  12. Go to Kentucky Fried Chicken. Order a meal and ask for extra finger wipes. Eat the chicken (or don't if you're worried about arteries and stuff) and save the finger wipes in your glove box. The wipes are great for LCDs and computer monitors and the chicken is pretty good too!
