Speed Sense white/orange conn. 2, pin 27 @ PCM The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is on the passenger side firewall. On the 4.7L motor, the VSS is white/orange in conn. 1, pin 13. On the 5.7L motor, the VSS is dk. green/yellow in conn. 1, pin 13. Reverse Light purple/black + automatic day/night mirror this is the info i found for you on a an alarm website,hope this helps

from one of our distributors, they state that the pioneer siruis unit will be replaced by a new directed electronics unit.model SCC1, maybe this is just our NJ distributor. but pioneer is having great package deals and a $200.00 rebate on the D3, pioneer is gearing up for some new models it looks like.

two way works with btb200, obviously you need to use the PTT button on the phone, i transferred my phone book in one shot, but for some reason it stops in the middle of transferring one of my numbers in the D section, i havent figured it out yet. anyone had a similar problem?

on the top of the windshield probably is the antenna with the two metal rods on it, unplug the wires from the antenna and leve it unplugged for 5-10 minutes then plug it back in and. should start to work again. if not try re programming the remote after you try the first thing, turn on ignition, press and relase the valet button, then press again and hold, siren will chirp, then press and hold any button on the remote till the siren sounds, if this happens, remote is re programmed let go of all buttons and turn off ignition. if none of the works send remote back to DEI remote is bad, let me kn

i have both the d3 discs and the d1 discs and will copy them for who ever as long as they cover shipping and cost of the discs like 20.00 or so

if you have 4 headrest monitors hooked up the the d3, there is only one obvious solution, you need a signal amplifier for the video signal, you cant just keep splitting the video signal with y adapters, there is you quality loss right there. sorry xsdbs, i see we came to the same conclusion, i posted before i read your post.

WELL I DONT KNOW HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN DOING THIS WORK BUT YOU CAN TAP A WIRE WITHOUT CUTTING IT, REMOVING PART OF THE WIRE INSULATION, ATTACHING ANOTHER WIRE AROUND IT AND SOLDING IT DOES NOT VOID FACTORY WARRANTIES, EVER HEARD OF THE MAGNUSON-MOSS WARRANTY IMPROVEMENT ACT? ALL I WAS SAYING WAS THAT THE FABRICATION WORK WAS VERY NEAT AND CLEAN, BUT I DIN'T LIKE THE T- TAPS AND PIONEER'S CHEAP VERSION OF A SCOTCH LOCK, IF YOU TRUST THAT TYPE OF CONNECTION, GOOD FOR YOU. my wifes car is an 05 freestyle, which is very similar to your car, i bought a speed sensor from rostra precision control, they make aftermarket cruise control systems, two magnets on the front drive shaft, about 3/4" away from that i mounted the sensor, ground one wire the other to the nav unit, and it works perfectly.

whats the yeak and make of the car, you can alwaly use an aftermarket speed sensor and put it on the cv axle or the drive shaft , 2 or 4 small magnets a wire tie and a small pick up coil

just picked up my new d3, hopfully saturday i can install it, so far the old d1, d2 hack doesnt look good , the harness has all holes filled with wires. im going to a training seminar next week and maybe will try to find out about the new hack for this unit,but the unit it self looks even better than the pictures, i cant wait to power it up!!

there is no vss wire on a five hundred, no is there one on most of the newer vehicles, you will need to add a wheel speed sensor, google a compan named ROSTRA PRECISION CONTROL , some time e bay has them , its a magnetic coil and four magnets, you will only need like two, ground one wire hook up the other wire to the unit mount the magnet about 3/4 to 1" away from the front drive shaft of the front cv axle, attach magnets with supplied wire tie and you are done, you can also email me with other questions , or further info

i dont believe it is a power problem, because while the unit cuts out and reboots, i am listening to xm and the xm radio never cuts out even for a second, while everything else is going on, thanks

I CONTACTED PIONEER AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP THAT E MAILED ME SAID TO CALL SO THAT I CAN SEND IT IN, I CALLED AND A WOMAN TOLD ME THAT THESE UNITS THEY DO NOT REPAIR, AND THAT I NEED TO BRING IT BACK TO WHERE I BOUGHT IT FROM FOR AN EXCHANGE. HAS ANY ONE EVER SENT THEIR UNIT IN FOR REPAIR? PLEASE SHARE ANY INFO YOU MAY HAVE ON EITHER SITUATION, THANKS
