  1. To the rca's coming out of the new head unit....it should state this in the Metra instructions...
  2. Also, the dash kit I have had the best results with is the Best Kits BKGMK422. http://www.bestkits.com/ViewImage.aspx? ... GMK422.jpg
  3. You will need a Peripheral electronics GMAH24 interface, a GMAHCM chime retention module, a Metra 40-GM10 antenna adapter, and a PE-SWIPS steering wheel interface. If you DO have a Bose system, use the GMAH24B instead, and you won't need the GMAHCM. Your statement that the factory 6-disc changer was Bose leads me to believe you do have a Bose system. Was that an in-dash changer?

  7. Bringing back the dead in time for Halloween? Spooky......
  8. Yeah, you should see what happened when I went to the Keys....
  9. What the fuck did I miss? I was in the Keys for a few days, and come back to this? Tommy, you've got problems. Paisan, now I see why you wrote the "Open letter to AVIC411". Holy crap. Oh, and tommyz9, go fuck a duck, you twerp.
  10. If you do not know the answer to this question, you have no business removing your hard drive from your Z1. Leave it to a professional, unless you have enough money to buy another one....
  11. I didn't see anything about changing th frequency stops, but here is a link to the owner's manual https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/ ... 600DVD.pdf
  12. Double-check with an outside video source before you send your AVIC out for repair, some of the reverse cameras on the market have a weak video output signal, and many newer vehicles (esp. Chrysler products) will not handle having the camera's power lead being tapped into the reverse light wire. You should always pull your rear-view camera's power supply from a viable power source, i.e., the fusebox or ignition harness....
  13. Sounds like you got it.....sorry, you sounded rather flabbergasted in your first post.
  14. I try and swipe the screws from the brackets on the factory radios in F-250/350's since they were my most common install.....
  15. The dash kit mounts directly to the dash support, not the trim bezel, so I am a bit confused as to how the unit is flopping around in your dash. There must be something very wrong....
  16. Well, I work from home, so I am online pretty often. I'll take a mod spot.....I will serve my people well.
  17. Oooops, just saw the Smithtown, NY. Misfit, you know anyone up there?
  18. Your best bet, before you send the unit out, is to have a knowledgeable installer go through your system. Where are you located? I'm sure someone on this forum can help personally. It sounds more like an install problem, not an AVIC problem.
  19. Super glue is my friend when assembling these kits. I use Zap green and the spray activator (found at hobby shops) on all joints that will never need to come apart. (You don't want to trap your head unit in the kit forever) Just be careful if you use the spray activator, it will change the sheen on your kit, so block off what you don't want to look wierd. Oh, and the fumes will burn the hell out of the inside of your nose. Also, make sure the kit is mounted properly. If you still want abetter kit, try the Best Kits BKCDK-650. It's a good-looking kit, and strong.... http://www.bestkits.com/Sea
  20. Give it some time to finish its learning sequence. You can also adjust your position/direction manually.
  21. I just caught this thread, I had the same problem with a Venture interface, and tech told me about the "initialize sequence". This is included int the instruction manual, now.
