  1. Well to make things fair, the DVD process is different between what we do, and what the rest of the OEM makers do. But anyways that post about failing discs was probably to sway people into buying their burnt copies anyways...
  2. My discs have never failed on me. Also I don't know if I trust a company that uses a hotmail account to conduct business.
  3. Those download links on that page are not legit, it just takes what you searched for and spits out a link saying that they have it. Besides that is way too early for a torrent to come out. It was a good few weeks before someone posted the torrent last year, and they posted it here first since we are probably the only ones that want map updates from pioneer.
  4. well thats what I do right now... Any other way thats less pecking on the screen or can be accessed through the remote?
  5. The subject says it all. I dont really use the screen a lot, and I know it can be turned off in the system settings, but it is kind of a pain to get to that when you are moving. Is there any shortcut that I can press that will just turn it off? Thanks in advance
  6. can I just run a wire to the backup light in the rear and tap into that? Thanks
  7. Works great! Unzipped in Vista using the built in zip tool, then copied it over to my mac and burned the iso at 2.4x using Imation discs. Popped into my D3 and worked like a charm. Thanks again!
  8. I know Pioneer will be the first to say they have them, but this site might know when it is available to the consumer. http://www.12v-electronics.com/catalog/ ... -6769.html
  9. i called Pioneer about it being an firmware update disk as well, and multiple times they told me it was just a map update.
  10. great. very good to know. Alright well I am going to go for it. I will post pictures when I finish the project. Thanks for the feedback
  11. I have a stealth faceplate that I am making, and part of it includes taking several neodymium magnets around the headunit, and then having that attach to a magnetic faceplate. Do you think there will be any interference with all those magnets? Thanks in advance
  12. Well I called Pioneer and they said that the discs were map only. I asked them about the different groups splitting up the D3/N4 with the rest of the systems, and she said that was because the other group are discontinued systems. They wanted to say, here is the map update that is available for these current products, but if you have one of the older models, you can update your map as well. I still want to see the update with my own eyes to judge if they added anything in features, but we shall see
  13. I dont know if my car is too old, but would anyone know where it is for an Acura Legend L 1987 2DR Coupe Thanks for all your help
