  1. It is possible. I have a 5.5g 60gb iPod and I can view them through the interface on the AVIC-D3. Just make sure you're video is set to "TV OUT" in the iPod settings and you can scroll through them, but you must use the interface on the iPod as the AVIC controls will not work for iPod video or pics. I can even set it up to scroll as a slideshow while music from the iPod plays. PM me if you can't get it work and I can walk you through the steps.
  2. Hey Mike, fellow Gapper here; I had mine installed about 6 months ago and I love it. The navi issue isn't a big deal as once you plot your route you can save it to "memory" in the unit and then pop out the Nav DVD and pop in whatever you want to listen/watch. This works great in the cities and I have used it many times in S'toon, PA, Eddy, Wpg and Calgary. My "professional" installer agreed to do the bypass after I moved the mute wire myself, he basically just grounded the wires for me. The bypass works great!! I am from a "remote" area where there is lots of highway and very few vehicles so i'm able to enjoy the Simpsons while i travel now, lol The XM unit was also installed at a dealers and they fucked up causin
  5. Thanx for posting this; I HAD the exact same problem, I say "had" because after reading this I double checked the work the installers did and moved the plug and now it works perfect. I am a little pissed off that the "professional" installers screwed up though.
  6. i have the EXACT same problem, except the loss of audio on my xm unit seems "permanent", i installed it yesterday and have not yet been able to listen the xm radio. everything else seems to work fine, song data, channel lineup have all loaded fine. i can see the info for what i'm supposed to be hearing, but so far no audio at all. Can someone please HELP with this? Does anyone else have this problem or no how to fix it? I'm a little curious if the bypass and the moving of the mute wire in the harness might be causing this so i changed it back to the original position to test it but it
