I had the USB from my NEX unit installed where my Sync cable was on my F-150 so it looks just like factory. Anytime I get in the truck I plug the phone in anyway.

It's like a test tone rotating though out the speakers.

So I have a 5000NEX and it's running the latest firmware. I also have an iPhone 6 and use CarPlay Sometimes , well 3 times this has happened. I'll be listening to something on my SD card, and I'll get a text, or another type of notification on my iPhone. That's when it starts. It's like a test tone that starts in the left speaker, goes to the right, then the rear L and R. I have the rears turned off on the HU!!! Unplugging the phone does not solve it. I have to turn the unit off and on. Want to know who I have to do that? I have to shut my truck off and turn it back on. That sucks

While I do think those features are cool, it really seems like a novelty to me. I'd much rather have Carplay.

The mic I used for RTA comes w/a calibration file for the iPhone. I loaded it up to my phone. It's a different mic than I used for the Auto EQ. Also is this not better than the Pioneer mic?

So I just tried it w/ a better powered mic. It did not reverse the phase on the sub, but it still turned it down to -11 . I changed the settings on the crossover, and the sub, but left the rest the same. I'm going to give it some time to see if I like it. I also want to use my Dayton Mic to RTA it w/ my settings vs the auto eq settings. I'll post up the results. Do you know if you change anything ( like the cross over etc) will the auto EQ go back to your last setting? Just wondering if I can change some things like the sub level etc w/o losing the EQ settings.

Okay, I understand that. I'm just saying that AVICsync is not an app that's available yet correct?

Yeah, I noticed that as well. I have the 5000 NEX, the 8000 is obviously better, but I don't know if for my needs it would warrant the price.

Maybe the guys that installed mine grounded the wire. They said they could not do it. I did the 15 second hold on the screen on my 5000NEX and it works while in motion. I have 1.08 and I have been running carplay just fine.
