  1. Hi All, Been playing with the auto time and auto EQ on the 6000 NEX. I have a matched set of four Polk Audio 6x8 speakers in the doors of my 2014 Edge. Also have a 600 watt sub. Consistently when EQ'ing and placing the mic on a tripod at head level on front seat the radio sets the front speakers to through and rear speakers to a LF cut of 120. The other issue I am having is intermittent audio dropout at low levels from left front speaker. Wondering if there is a phase reversal in that speaker? I am going to pull head unit and door panel and recheck polarity but thought I'd ask her
  2. No complaints when using my 6000NEX. Mic right above mirror.
  3. Thanks for the link to the Kenwood. Maybe I will sell off my 6000NEX, now worth a lot less than I paid and also my App Radio 3. If Pioneer would at least make App Radio mode stable I would have no problem with new units introducing new features, such as one cable Car Play or Android Auto. The issue I have is Pioneer has NOT demonstrated ANY effort to make existing units work as advertised. They are definitely losing my business.
  4. What would be real nice is for someone to question them on the CES floor with press around why the NEX units still do not function correctly. App Radio mode is still broken with IOS 8. There are many complaints of the "Hey SIRI" not working with the NEX also. Car Play still has rough edges too. I wish Kenwood had something similar to App Radio mode to run Waze. I'd dump my App Radio 3 and 6000NEX in a heartbeat and jump ship. Pioneer fixes problems by just releasing new models with the fixes. They do NOT care about trying to fix existing customer's issues. Why should they? Less people
  5. Let's hope they do something for both the App Radio 3 and NEX units to fix App Radio mode. It's VERY buggy and I prefer Waze over Apple Maps. I also have an HTC One M8 for work and would like to get App Radio mode working reliably. Every time I get in the vehicle I have to toggle airplane mode on then off to establish a connection. If Pioneer does NOT fix the issues with the 6000NEX then it will be the last Pioneer product I buy. Dave
  6. Did you call Pioneer? When you do, give them the serial number of the radio if they ask for warranty verification. Do not mention where it was purchased. In the U.S. manufacturers will usually help the consumers with hardware warranties. Did the installers connect the GPS antenna correctly? Maybe it became disconnected when they were mounting the radio in the dash.
  7. I made the change to the HTC M8. Using the Pioneer HDMI to MHL adapter that comes with the Pioneer CD-AH200 cable kit. I haven't had a lot of time to set it all up yet as I normally don't drive that vehicle during the week. Initial setup has Appradio mode working with Car Media Player and Waze. When I bring up the voice input in Waze I find it does not mute the music, but I do remember in Nav settings in the 6000NEX I did not have it set to mute. Will try that.
  8. With my iPhone 5s Hey Siri worked fine one time, then would fail every time after. It would require a reboot of the phone. Another issue I have is when on a call in the car and I want to continue the call after arriving, I switch the call audio back to the phone but audio to and from the phone completely stops and requires rebooting the phone and calling the person back again. I have an open case with Apple engineering and even have a video available showing the failure. I got so ticked off I dumped my 5s yesterday and got the HTC One M8 and now using Appradio mode instead. Got my Waze
  9. What are you using for the MHL to HDMI? I have the Pioneer CD-AH200 kit someplace from when I had the Galaxy Note 2
  10. Yeah, upgraded Appradio 3 to 6000NEX for CarPlay and total disappointment. Waze blows away Apple maps and the Pioneer navigation. iPhone 5s with IOS 8.1.1 will NOT run App Radio mode and Pioneer has NOT fixed it. Pioneer is a horrible company with releasing updates. Also iDataLink is sort of a joke. The Pioneer units won't show gauges and other vehicle info. Don't know if I would recommend the Pioneer/Apple combo after this fiasco. Lot of money to pay for something as buggy as this.
  11. Hi All, Long time reader and finally need to ask some opinions. Currently have an iPhone 5s IOS 8.1.1 with a Pioneer 6000NEX firmware 1.08. Disappointed with Car Play. "Hey Siri" works once, then fails. Disconnect iPhone from Pioneer during call results in no audio to/from phone, requiring phone reboot. Have an open case with Apple tier 2 support for over a month. Apple has not addressed these issues and I am ready to upgrade and dump Apple. Almost all of my apps have an Android version, so migration is not an issue. Looking to go with an HTC One M8 and wondering if anyone ha
