Try to get your Bluetooth audio to work with it connected,it won’t,that’s the point of this thread.

I’m gonna have to assume there is no solution to this issue.As a work around I put a USB toggle switch before the iPod to quickly turn it on and off and even that didn’t work as the iPod wouldn’t work with switch in line,quite frustrating

Hello,have an issue when I want to use bluetooth audio,that is I have to fish out my ipod from the glove box and disconnect it(usb)before bluetooth audio will work.Is there any workaround to this?Have 10gb data on my phone now,might be doing lots of streaming,thanks in advance.

Not a major issue but somewhat annoying,I can't get my 8000nex to scrub forward within a song while its playing via the ipod touch.I can do this feature with any of my CD's just by placing my finger on the moving play bar and sliding the dot forward or backward depending on where on the song I want to be playing.Is there a setting I'm missing on either the head unit or ipod,or is there no fix?Did a search finding nothing,thanks for any advise in advance.

Quick question,when using my steering wheel control to go up/down for radio stations on my 8000nex,it scans up and down and doesn't go from station to station?Is there a way to make it jump to my next saved station and not scan??

Am I the only one not seeing the 2016 Q1 map??

I'm not seeing it on the web site where I'm at,right now it has North America 2015 Q3 for $129.99 USD.Hopefully it gets updated soon with the lower prices and 1 year subscription.

An android or pc stick might be interesting.Been thinking about it for a while,but I'm also thinking it might be more of a novelty than something I would use that much.

I suspect the NEX does,but I would like to confirm.The reason I'm asking is I'm getting an iPod solely for the purpose of using it with my NEX,some ipods apparently sound better than others,but if the NEX handles the DAC duties I would assume it wouldn't matter what iPod I select.

Look on your HU when answering to see if it goes to private mode,should be right there in the middle of the screen of the 8000 when a call comes in.

I disagree,we aren't talking about a technology item here,we're talking about a MAP update.Maps have been around for 100's of years.

WTF....I just updated to the recently released 2015 Q2 and its now out of date??

I am pretty sure there is a setting in there to eliminate that,I had the same issue and it pissed me off at the start.Reality is it only zooms out if you are on a long road with no turns coming up,so it's no big deal,as soon as a change of direction is coming up it will zoom back in again.

Thanks for the reply,my solution ended up being deleting the call recording software.I assume it couldn't record over speaker,so by default it kept switching over to private mode.

I have had my hu for about 3 months,every time I go to receive a call the connection fails.I have an app on my iphone 6 that records the calls,and here is the strange part,the callers voice speeds up really fast on the recording sounding like mickey mouse,although on the live call I can't hear them??One thing I discovered is when I answer my NEX has a little window saying "private ON".....when I turn it to private off everything seems to function as normal.The next call it defaults back to private ON,any way to default it to "private OFF"????

I recently had an 8000nex installed in my car,originally the camera didn't work as the installer used the backup trigger to power the camera.The camera needed in my case to be powered by the + switched ignition power that also triggers the relay on my amp,now it works perfectly.

I had the same message after getting my unit installed,no idea what it means??

I currently have an 8000nex with the 2013 Can/USA map installed.I live in Canada,would like to update just the Canada map,if I do so would I lose the USA map all together?I am hoping to keep the 2013 version of the USA map as I drive down there once in a while,but don't want to pay the $130 price for both regions.
