I have the original D1 and downloaded the west coast .rar files and extracted them into a ISO. I keep getting insert appropriate disc error. I burned it using nero then alcohol 120% with book type (suggested on page 7) with no success. Funny thing is that it does recognized the DVD because it reads the backgrounds pictures from the new DVD but does not update. I tried using the reset button, but no luck. Anyone have any ideas? I have 3 DL verbatim DVDs left.

Thanks for hosting this. I am downloading it right now, once done I'll host it on adrive. My upload is super slow so its going to take awhile. BTW This copy works with the D1 without any issues correct (no missing files)?

I have the D1 and my unit is starting to give me troubles, some of the function of the unit is starting to disappear. For example, I only have one map view options and there is no more background images on the unit. The drive seems to be functioning, but its not reading everything.

Why did Pioneer take out all of the backgrounds and start up picture in this version? It just doesn't make any sense.

The new disk doesn't have a start up picture or any backgrounds... Did anyone find a way to add custom backgrounds to this version?

I am wondering the same thing, after the update disk I lost my start up picture (now its just plain black) and there aren't any backgrounds to choose from.

Problem fixed. Must save image as ISO ONLY after iso editing. It will not work if its a nero image file or any other images. Dual Layer DVD burn took about 35 mintues at 2.4x speed. After sucessful burning check disc and make sure all jpegs are viewable if not then it wont load in the D1/D2.
