  1. Sounds like you're good to go. Don't forget to donate.
  2. What unit do you have? You might have to get more advanced and use testmode. When it says no SD card found it means there are no further updates on that card it can use, or that it has flagged those updates as used already. I would try formatting your SD card and putting the files back on it, then try the update again.
  3. Good to hear. Just fyi, since the instructions are buried a few pages back:
  4. Anyone familiar with disabling the OK nag screen?
  5. Nah, just use the Donate link from the first post
  6. Not sure what the SD card size limit, but I would assume 32gb. Won't hurt to try the 64gb.
  7. Yes, there's a big difference between the models. The Z150 was the top of the line, a few years ago. The new line is the NEX Series. Just depends on what features you are after. You can find a Z150 on eBay for around $300-400.
  8. Well from the sound of it, you did everything correctly. Troubleshooting from the manual: There are also some compatibility notes on Pac-Audio's website:
  9. With my Z150, I bought an older iPhone 5c to use as an iPod/Pandora player. Pioneer specifically listed the iPhone 5 as supported hardware. I also activated it on Ting, so i'm able to have it as a stand-alone Pandora device, I keep in my glove compartment. Costs me about $12/month. You only pay for the data you use.
  10. Instructions: Step 1: Format an 8gb SD card to FAT32. Google it. Step 2: Download the file, and extract using winrar. Step 3: Transfer the files you extracted to the SD card. Step 4: Turn your car on, and insert the SD card into your AVIC head unit. Step 5: DO NOT TURN YOUR CAR OFF, until the update is complete. Step 6: The update will take approximately 45 minutes. Step 7: Once update is complete, paypal a donation.
  11. Run the 2016 map update, and move forward to 3.0 firmware.
  12. yes it took 45 minutes I just left my car running to make sure it didn't turn off
  13. Downloaded. Extracted. Moved to FAT32 formatted 8gb SDHC Card. SD Card inserted into Avic-Z150BH. Update Found! Updating....please wait 45 mins! Success! Paypal donation incoming soon!
  14. Any news? Any of you able to copy the card using the method Bitmap described?
  15. Exactly. Creating an iso is different than just copying files. With iso you are making an exact duplicate, where copying can miss hidden items.
  16. It's a remote possibility, but I remember reading on the Z120 forum about problems when zipping/unzipping. Some over these could only get it to work if they zipped using 7zip. The IT tech in me finds that perplexing though. I looked at your screenshots, and I have the same number of files, as well as file sizes. So doubt we lost anything in the transfer. ------------------------------------------------------------ Seeing as you were able to install on your 2nd unit, without having to zip/unzip makes me wonder. Could that be an issue?
  17. Yeah, it's weird. Appreciate all the effort so far though!
