hmmm the updates have the apl2 folder why dont you just download that and copy the files you need?

i'm in the same boat as you but mine is an ipod touch with 2.1, note I had 1.4 on there and it worked until last night when i upgraded to 2.1 so now i'm emailing itunes to get a refund for the update as im going to downgrade back to 1.4 and just jailbreak the SOB for the one application i wanted f@$%ing apple

anyone think they would upload a full unedited flash backup? i would like to be able to compare the full backups side by side instead of the updates :/

ohhh well i downloaded all updates from the pioneer website and compared them side by side and thats why i saw those files were missing dunno why its like that its just what i noticed so sorry i was wrong there my bad

ummm well i know the US firmware has quite a few files that are missing for you eu guys, I could upload the ones your missing and just try and place them in the correct directorys and see what happens?

one of the .exes probably looks for the units model name/number somewhere and if its 900 or 90bt then it enables all the extras and if its 700 it just disables it, I dont think you would need any extra hardware i think its purely software :/

if you get that error then your probably missing some testmode files, download the testmode folders again and copy them to your SD card and try again

flyboyindy, no it doesnt lock up the unit i did it but it does not work like i had hoped , i looked for other places where it could be but havent turned up anything oh well i dont care much

call pioneer and tell them you plan on moving to europe in a couple months and your bringing your headunit with you and find out if you can flash the euro update on it worth a shot

all the updates pioneer releases replaces like all the files so you an update would reset the software bypass along with any graphic/script mods so always make a backup or your mod incase

umm i think the program files folder is made when you boot into testmode so a reboot and it would be gone again, i think the my flash disk is the only area that doesnt delete at reboot but test and find out
