Honestly I'm waiting for carplay but still disappointed that they advertised features that aren't available for several months. Carplay is a feature and AVICSync brings the nex together with other services

Really annoyed it hasn't been released yet as it was one of the big reasons I purchased the unit. Big fail on pioneer. I know carplay is on the horizon but carplay has nothing to do with the actual connected services that was to be offered. Grrrrrrr.

Can u mirror off ur phone, that will tell you if your hdmi is hooked up. Is your USB hooked up to USB 1? If both of those aren't like that than that's probably ur problem

Go into setting for smartphone, then choose av adapter , sounds like you have USB selected The. Make sure you have a appradio installed on your phone as well as appradio live and any other app u want to use that is in the compatabliity list

So I just took a trip from NJ to Peabody mass and then Bentley college in Massachusetts and I have to say the navigation did an excellent job of routing me around traffic. I had someone following me and when I hit heavy traffic on 95 outside of Boston area about 15 miles from Peabody it had me exit and take some back roads. I arrived at my destination 45 minutes earlier then my buddy who decided to stay the original route. I have to say route 15 in Connecticut is the most fun road I have ever driven, 73 miles of a roller coaster ride. I had a blast on that road.

After you start app mode and the app you want to use, hit the volume button and the volumes tabs pop up on the nex, then tap the volume tab for your source and raise the volume, voila it works

In the manual it does say SDHC, U are correct, and sd cards that are SDHC are only available up to 32 gig. Whether manufacturers of sd cards change that who knows, but not likely since it is old technology, pioneer could have made compensations for larger sd cards, who knows why they didn't. Tickerguy is the one really knowledgable about this information, if you really want an explanation search his posts about it or send him a message. He's been very helpful and knowledgable about the cards. You can format it for whatever u want, however you take the risk of corrupting your data.

If you read the other thread, it explains a lot, quick tip they don't make an sd card above 32 gig that is truly compatible SDHC.

Personally I would rather have the temp controls moved down, if there isn't stuff blocking inside the dash and custom install the nex up top, then make, or have made a custom faceplate. I don't like the radio so low, I don't like having to look down so far.

Appradio live is a new app available for download on iTunes Store, android guys can you check and see if it's available to you and let us know. Appradio live does not give connected services ability. Maybe it will maybe it won't in future, only pioneer knows and there is no mention of it on there web site. I know someone else already posted a similar situation, so u will have to use the search on the forum. However, you don't need the mhl adapter when just trying to play pandora, the only time you need that adapter, and select the connection type in settings is for app mode, or mirror. Someone with an android correct me if im wrong. Android USB 2 form pandora select USB in phone settings For app mode use hdmi, mhl adapter and in phone settings chose the adapter When choosing the mhl adapter in settings, your USB cable only functions to charge. I'm not an android guy, just guessing

Make sure antenna is in properly and most of all, make sure it is grounded properly, you can search this forum and see the responses to the same question

So I finally had to replace my cheap 7-11 lightning cable because I couldn't get pandora or aha to work anymore. The cable still charges the phone though. I thought I was having another problem with the cable too but I think it's just a nex issue so I wanted to see if anyone else has come across something similar. This only happens while playing pandora too, it never happens with any other source, so while playing pandora sometimes it sounds like the music cuts from speaker to speaker, almost doesn't sound in stereo during a song. Exactly what he said, DO NOT PLUG CAMERA into the yellow dongle, plug it into the jack on the back of the nex, also hook up the reverse wire on the nex to your reverse light wire

I think another member on the forum had a similar problem, I believe his unit wasn't grounded properly, or his gps antenna wasn't in properly. You should probably check that and report back.
