The new Updated Z3 hard drive I have still doesn't have my neighborhod on it, lets add that. LOL

I just put it in my Z2, and it went through the update. So far I see no difference, but I have not driven around yet. I do know my neighborhood is still not on the map (which really sucks). My neighborhood is about 2 years old. I will let you know more after I take it for a drive.

When I plug in my Iphone it does nothing not even charge the phone, so I plugged in my Ipod and never tried the phone via the dock plug again. I don't believe that the Iphoe will play on the Z1 or Z2, though I could be wrong.

If you are worried about getting the unit in, you can always unbolt the shifter. As for the the placement, not sure.

I burned a cd off of my ITunes. I had to use two cd's to get all of the songs of the album. My question is, is there a way for me two combine the two albums into one on the Z2. It is listing them as two. I would like the to all be togather.

Yes, but on his phone he did not have to initiate the pairing or conecting. I had to do both. Again I do not know why.

Check to make sure you have the setting for the camera turned on. It's in the A/V settings.

But with my phone I had to manualy pair (register) my phone before the phone would work. My friends on the other hand did not have to do anything for his to work. My phone would show the Pioneer, but would not pair, unitll I registered it via the unit. My friends found the Pioneer and pair without having to register it via the Pioneer. Not sure why but that is what happened. I have had to reregister my iphone twice so far.

I am not sure about the phone issue, but the back up camera is more than likely fixable in the a/v menu. There is a setting for the camera power. Try that. I had the same problem after I hit the reset button, but this fixed the problem (thanks to this site).

You need the NBT1. After you go through the registration process it works great. Unlike some phones my Iphone would not pair untill I registered it. A friend was in the car when I picked it up and it found his phone with out registering it (it was not an Iphone).

The friend does window tinting for a living. He does alot of work for this established custom audio shop here in Las Vegas. It was not unitll after they installed the unit that they told him and me that they do not do Pioneer. I found a guy today (after about 10 phone calls, no one wants to go in after someone else on my Hummer) that does Pioneer in his shop. He told me the same thing you said about the bypass. He said it would take about 15 min to take out, bypass, and put back in. A couple of places I called said yes untill I told them it was a Hummer. Then three of them said

first check and see if for some reason you have it set to day time. There is a setting for auto. Press menu. Then map. Then make sure that the the Day/Night display is set to auto, not day.

Today when I got in the car and pulled out of the drive way, I had no back-up camera. When I press the map button, i can not select the back up camera slpit screen option because it is greyed out. Any reason, or fixes. It is not a cheap one.

I am assuming that the bypass worked, because while I am driving I can press the parking break just enough to get the parking break light to come on, and then everything works. I am not an installer, but I looks like the parking break wire is not getting a good contact. If I am reading correct, the other wire will lock it out while moving, I don't seem to have that problem. I turned car on with parking break on, put in disk, hit map button, and then I see this "INSERTED UPDATE DISC ALREADY UPDATED" so I hit the rest button, and the unit goes off and comes back on. Then I see "INSERTED UPDATE DISC ALREADY UPDATED" Again I used Sonic to burn the disc, does that matter, or did the installer do the bypass wrong? If so does anyone work in the LAS VEGAS area? Any help would be wonderful. D

When I put the cd in I hit the map button, after that does it start the down load automatically? I did not see anything after that. I then hit the rest and nothing except that it told me that the udate has already been done. D

I am writing because, I burned the file and uploaded it to the Z2, and the company then did the 2 wire bypass. And after all that it still doesn't work. My question is can I try to upload the file even after the bypass is done, or will it mess up everything? If it will not work then is there anyone in Las Vegas that does this? Just for a general FYI. The ipod hack that involves holding play and then pluging in the adapter works.

If you are refering to the Nav antenna fo the unit and the XM antenna, then I have tow. I thought they ment that you would have two antennas for the XM Navtraffic. My mis-understanding. Sorry. Thanks for the input on the unlock. Will see how it goes tomorrow.

My installer said I have to do the patch then, he has to do the two wire bypass. Is this correct? I have an AVIC-Z2. I downloaded and burned the file. Put it in and pushed the map screen. After a while I pushed the reset button. After it came back on it said, something about udated already been done. Is this what I should see? He is doing the 2 wire bypass tomorrow.
