  1. Wow! That sounds like a lot of work, I thought iPods, and iTunes were supposed to be easy. And yes, I do have a mess of a music library. I used to use Music Match Juke Box, and I loved it, but of course Apple has there own unique way to do everything, so I need to change how I synq my music. Thanks for the help, I will not be home for a while, so will have to give it a try then. Mark
  2. OK, I must be an idiot, because I can't get this Music Sphere to work the way I want. After it Analyzes all of my music in my iTunes library, I then figured out you have to hit the "refresh" button to "make the play-lists", that didn't seem obvious, but oh well. Then I had these play-lists of random music from my library, in iTunes, not my iPod. OK, I can drag the play-lists to my iPod, but that adds the new music to the iPod also, and I don't want that music on my iPod. How can I get it to make the play-lists using the music on my iPod? This is the music I like, I have thousands of
  3. That would work. Crap! Now I will have to spend more money, and get an ipod Touch. I would like to hear for sure if it really does work and how well before I make an investment. I did want to get a larger capacity ipod, but was thinking ipod classic with a large hard drive. Now the wheels are spinning.
  4. My tracking number is up also. Since UPS doesn't have any info for the tracking number, I would agree, they are shipping Monday.
  5. I am sure it will take a while, I will be waiting anxiously. I am really surprised how much Ford has put into their SYNC system. They are really making it sound like a do it all system.
  6. So do they make me generate this key when I get the SD cards in the mail? Because it didn't make me do it when I filled out the order.
  7. There is no control protocol with any other phones via USB like there is with the iPhone. So there is nothing Pioneer can do about this. Just one of the many reasons why no other phones compare to the iPhone. You should research before posting...... http://www.wirelessandmobilenews.com/2010/04/blackberry-and-android-apps-speak-up-pandora-stitcher-openbeak-sync-applink-for-ford.html There's also a video. And I guess we don't need that cable anyway, just the bluetooth we already have.
  8. This unit is and has been pushed for IPod/IPhone compatibility.... Why else would it have a proprietary IPod adapter??? It's not like you can hook up a ZuneHD or Android phone to it's IPod adapter... and expect much.... I don't like it anymore than you.... but the IPod, has built a solid foundation.... In other words...this unit was designed around the Apple IPod....... Everything else is questionable.... I agree, there are a lot of devices that work with ipod, that's why I have one. I wasn't implying that the upgrade should make it compatible with Android, obviously
  9. IMO...it's not allot at all.... They've updated the maps... completely re-engineered the GUI.... Introduced Pandora Link introduced Music sphere introduced the fuel eco thing-a-ma-jig.... I'd say that you're getting allot for your money... especially if you jumped onboard the sweet discount that they were offering on the Z110BT's that lasted up till now... IMO...it's not allot at all.... I agree, it's about right. They've updated the maps... I hope this has updates to roads I have found incorrect so far. completely re-engineered the GUI.... I hope I like it, but I alwa
  10. I just ordered it, just went with the standard shipping, will upgrade next week. I don't see why they don't just offer it as a download. I know it would be a large file, but come on Pioneer, get with the times, all things in a digital format should be available for download in this "I want it now" world.
  11. I don't mean to be hijacking this thread, but, what do you mean "if someone figures out how to piggy-back"? You just plug into the plug that is under the drivers side of the vehicle. People, this system is made to give you all of your vehicles information real time, and it works with ALL VEHICLES!!! It just amazes me that nobody incorporates it. At the worst you might have a cable you will have to tie up out of the way under the dash.
  12. OBD2 has been mandatory for all cars sold in the United States since 1996. The connection is the same for all cars. I have a small device called a Scan Gage, and it not only reads and resets codes, but will give MPG, instant, average for trip, tank, or day, RPM, speed, and much more. And it will work in any vehicle. This would be very simple to implement in a head unit that already is a small PC, they just need to write an app. I seriously think I will be going the car PC route, as the options are limitless. You say these apps are spot on, with what? They can't possibly know your MPG,
  13. I don't understand why they would use accelerometers and other crap to tell you how good your economy is with the new eco-routing thing, when they could just hook up to the OBD2 port and have the exact vehicle info including true MPG that could be tracked. They would also have the option for custom gages. This would be a simple thing, and nobody does it. It just makes me look harder at a Car PC.
  14. My local dealer has had it since last Tuesday. Boxes sitting on the floor reday to go out the door. $1,800. And Crutchfield has it in stock also, for $1799.99
  15. I work with acetone at work also. We use it to clean metal parts. We also often use it to clean off laminated sheets, and it doesn't affect them until they have been wiped many times. But, the Lexan doors to our equipment "melts" if you wipe it just once with acetone. Also other plastic containers we used to use would also melt. If you were board, you could melt a crack in a plastic container together with acetone. Some of our calculators have the buttons melted to the face from acetone. I would be careful what you use it on, it depends on the type of plastic. Like others suggested, tr
