  1. Covert_Death.....Awesome dedication towards this topic bro. I was sooooo pissed when Pioneer had to release a new unit just to update Android Auto. I bought my 4000NEX during last September just in hopes that Android Auto will be made available as a FW update. Like everybody else here, I am also ranting about less than 1 year old unit purchase which now does not meet my expectations.
  2. I got the same issue. I have 4000NEX. Usually, when i leave to work in the morning, it works when i reverse. Then there after, it doesn't. For me, when I reverse, the screen switches to backup screen with the writing (caution, blah blah...), however, the screen is black. And it's intermittent. Once in a while it works, then it doesn't. My wiring: I have the reverse signal wire connected to the harness located below the steering column. For the camera power, I have connected to the ACC power lead. Setting: Battery Anything i'm doing wrong? I've noticed this issue happened afte
  3. I don't have any experience with AppRadio HU, but i own a 4000NEX and don't regret it. I'm adding the Nav unit (u260) next week to it. So, as expected, it should be a complete HU. In regards to Android phones, Android AUTO is coming up soon in parallel to Apple carplay. And I'm hoping this will be the same compatibility as using the iPhone.

    Microphone

I'm using the stock microphone that came with my 4000NEX.....I have it mounted right above the rear view mirror (center light console). The call quality is very clear and anyone in the car can speak to it and works like a charm.

  14. Both US and Europe User Manual says: USB - 2GB SD - 8GB I'm thinking it'll be useless for them to have USB if it doesn't support more than 2Gb.

  16. Refering to Page 188 on F900BT US Manual....it says: USB - 2GB SD - 8GB I really hope USB is not 2Gb.....Then there's no use in having the USB on the unit.
  17. If I remember correctly, I think I read it is only compatible with FAT32. However, there are lots of free utilities out there that will allow you to format any drive size in a FAT32 format. I have done this with my external drive so that my xbox can read it. Here is a link to the free utility that I use. Yes, it is safe. Yes it works. Just follow the directions exactly and you will be set. http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?fat32format.htm p.s. Keep in mind your HDD would need to be 2.5" or smaller so that the head unit can power it. If it's any bigger you will need

"Keep pressing the center of MULTI-CONTROL; Mutes the AV (Audio and Video) source. To cancel the muting, press and hold it again."
