You will need to get a pass through device that converts the power from the D3 to the new way of charging it for the 3G. I believe that Kensington makes one. I know there is a post in the iPod/iPhone forum that talks about it

If you need them is up to you. It offers some updates to the map data (POIs and some new roads) and makes your load and search time slightly faster.

Why would you not download the free to $10 Voice dialer at the app store instead of paying each month for voice dialing. The iPhone as I said does not come standard with voice recognition like many phones now a day do

I can't afford to leave my phone for that long. I switch to the unlimited plan from my old 6000 minute plan with N&W starting at 7 because I was going over. It is cheaper then before so I can't complain

Why do you need your phone paired if you are not on a call. All phones that I have will disengage the active bluetooth connection until a call comes in or I make a call.

Classic iPod (aka iPod Video) will work up until the 5.5 Gen. iPod Nano will not work unless you hook it up through RCA's. iPod Touch / iPhone (2G & 3G) will not work unless you hook it up through RCA's. The iPod shuffle does not work. You can downgrade the software on a 6th or 7th gen iPod video to play it on the D3. There is a few post on the forums how to do that.

Most Refurbs are going to be Gen 6 now that the 7th Gen is out. So you need to make sure. I believe 5.5 Gen is going to be 60GB and 120GB but I might be wrong

In general though most installers that work at places like Worst Buy and what not will not do the bypass for you

My friend has also done it the other side of the RCA's by the amps with good results. I believe he has it on both sides of the RCA's and has no whine. If you don't want to rip apart your dash (like me) you could try it on the amp side and see if that helps

That is because the radio was adapted to work like that. If Pioneer sold a separate unit for every make, model, and transmission then they could do that but since they have a few models that will work in a variety of cars they can not do that

I can hear a very very light whine if I am parked and have everything in my car off like the AC and the D3. If I am driving it is not noticeable at all. I need to take my radio out and get a better ground and I think that will eliminate the noise all together you. If you are still having problems you should upgrade the "big 3" under the hood.

mbegan buy an iPod and don't worry about it or listen to satellite radio or regular radio. Are you against Apple for making products that work? The little compass will switch between your screen always pointing north or your beacon always facing up no matter what direction you are going

if you are looking at a zip file you should be using 7zip

personally I think you should all shut the hell up and stop bitiching. If you are going to sell illegally downloaded software off of my server then you should at least have the courtesy of not telling everyone that you downloaded it from me and you are in turn trying to make a profit. Not to mention if you are going to sell it go out there and actually sell it say for $60-$75 a set shipped and make some money off of it. That way if someone catches you, you can pay for your lawyer or mine for helping a felon.

You can quickly turn the shuffle off by going into the menu and turning the iPod shuffle off
