1. Hmm... repetative "newbie" posts? You can't count. I don't have enough total posts to even HAVE repetative posts. The very fact that the Z1 is HD based means that updating via DVD or CD is entirely possible... heck, you can update your background with a CD... I can only assume that the brains that made the Z1 put the ability to update the map in the software. Take your insults and your attitude and put it to good use. You have yet to provide any actual facts. If you have actual facts, why not post them? If you have actual factual links, why not post them? And I *didn't* misun
  2. Probably? I reject that. Pioneer makes units for Europe just like for every place else. It is a software issue, not a hardware issue. Buying a new unit should not be a factor. And I didn't ask about bypassing a Z2, I asked if the update deleted the Z1 bypass. PLEASE don't post a suposition... I am looking for actual knowledge, not belief...
  3. On a related topic, is there an "update" that adds maps for Europe? I am going to be moving to Germany this winter and I will probably be taking my Mustang, (fun on the Autobahn). But last time I checked, I don't have any sort of map coverage... On another note, will the Z2 update remove the Z1 bypass?

And please don't smoke any dope before you post this time....
  5. You could also go with the Solo II which is completely cordless... I have it and it works great...

All the sources I have heard and read, (Crutchfield, several forums, WOM), say the F-150 kit is dabomb and fits totally clean.

  8.

Question, you have the E-brake wire attached or not? Now, if only I could make 2 months go by real fast so I can get home to my cars...
You can connect it like regular as it says in the manual. I just noticed you were "deployed". Thanks a lot for doing that for us. We are all pulling for you and I hope the two monts goes fast for you too. Come home safe!
Thanks, I appreciate it! Just ordered the Z1, Bluetooth, and XM Traffic from Crutchfield so it should be waiting for me when I get home. Now, the ha
  9.
Hi guys Fixed the illumination wire and all is working great now, light flashing works great too, thank you for all your help.
This bodes well for me... awesome! Question, you have the E-brake wire attached or not? Now, if only I could make 2 months go by real fast so I can get home to my cars...
  10.
Thanks guys for the help Going to have a dig around tomorrow morning and see if I can't get this all sorted out, have posted a message on a mustang forum to try and find the correct wire to use but from what I can make out its a wire from the headlights switch that goes from 0V to 12v when the lights are on/off. So the orange/white z1 harness wire is ok for 12v ? I don't want to fry anything! Thanks again.
I'm fixin to be in the same boat here, (once I get home). I plan on installing the Z1 in my 05 GT Vert. As such, I am watching this thread for
