Has the ipod controll changed in the z3 upgrade, or is it the same.

I have hooked up 3 diffrent Curves to my Z1. Never had any issue. are you getting any error messages?

Replaced all factory speakers with Focals. Did not re-connect factory tweeters in windows on-top of dash, instead installed separate focal tweeters into the doors. Using separate West Coast Custom Orion Amps for sub's, mid's and tweeters. Audio Control DQXS keeps it all balanced. 2 Orion 10' subs in custom cabinet. Avic Z1 with custome IPOD adapter built into what was the cigarette ash holder. Bluetooth, and Sirrus add on's attached, and rear back-up camera replaces key hole in rear. Fun car. 95.

Picture is bad, as it was dark, and I used the flash from the camera. No I did not use a magic marker to color the interior, it is all factory, and in great condition. As for the face Plate. We did not like the plastic face plate that came with the Z1, so we fabricated a new one out of metal and powder coated it black..

I use a blackberry Pearl. I am able to delete the phone book on my Z1, and dump my entire pearl phone book to the Z1 in one transfer. With the razor, I have to do one at a time. My suggestion is to find a friend with a blackberry, and dump your phone list to his blackberry, then sync it to your Z1. Otherwise you are stuck with doing this one at a time.

Blackberry Pearl works fine, and down loads the entire phone book in one shot.

The hood is still steel. When you say a grounding strap, what do you mean? and where can I get one. Thanks for the info, i'll keep you posted on how things turn out. Now I still need to figure out my reception issue.

I have a 95 Mitsubishi 3000GTVR4 with AVIC Z1. We removed the factory antena, and covered and painted over the whole. We have tried window mount type antena's and get lousy reception, and no AM reception. We also installed HID headlights in this car. When we turn the headlights on, we get static, and the already terrible reception gets worse. So my question is A) what antena would you recommend, remember we no longer have the factory hole or antena. what could me causing the interference with the HID's. HID's do not affect any other source, I.E. ipod, cd, dvd when turned on. Thank
