Well, to be honest I wouldn't call this a bug Because when you are using navigation while e.g. watching a DVD (means: no map on the screen) and someone calls you, then the voice of the navigation will get muted - and if the unit wouldn't change back to the map mode, you wouldn't know where to drive to, because you have *no* voice out of the navigation system (muted by the phone call) and *no* view to the map, because the DVD is still runing. Of course, a parameter switch would be nice to steer that behavior - but I wouldn't call it a bug on the first hand... Bye, Boby in my wife

i only play podcasts so every sunday i load new podcasts via itunes, so my VR is always on as i only listen those podcasts once. bluetooth... it's a total joke in compare with the kenwood in my wifes vehicle. no sms text, bad sound quality, lots of drops / disconnects, no way to listen to you voice box (can't type dtmf), slow responce (ever tried to use the deck while on the phone or playing a dvd), doesn't pause the audio (just mute it so i miss my podcasts when on the phone), no auto update of your contacts. just to name a couple problems. and yes i tried it with the same phone as i

i have compared the tts sound files of version 2 with version 3 and they are all the same...

i think that it's the way this deck boots to allow booting from a SD Card

or from the f900 version 3 build (we can then use the x910 updater)

we will find a way without that file... just need that image.

if you are afraid about your license file you can just leave it out once you copied it all on your computer. lots of guys here are willing to help you how to copy the whole contents from the internal flash disc or your deck to your computer. what you can do is use a 4gb SD card with the Testmode V2.3 on it and and then just copy the whole content from the internal flash disk to the 4gb SD card. it's about 2gb so it will fit. you can find the testmode on this forum or on my web site. any questions just ask. bt

How Childish... not childish at all as i almost hammered my screen too when running the older firmware versions. the deck sold as it was (before version 3) wasn't working correctly not even with the version 2 updates. and what i find the biggest thing is with a simple WinCE update it runs like it should be from day one. why could this not being done before? and why is this in a pay package? why could they not creating a free version 3 OS only update? sure now we have a way to do this but still lots of folks out there don't know how to do it what is logic as not every body can

Paul does that really? i don't think so. the license file is only to get it working and is licensed to pioneer and not to your radio head...

just copy that APL directory on the Testmode SD card... No USB needed...

download the data.zip file, extract this file and you will find a DATA directory (Sound / SplashPic). now copy that one over your existing one and voila new sounds. MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE YOU CHANGE FILES on your radio head!
