I'm not a software guy or an electronics guy...just a car guy.... .....but I was wondering if it would be easier to handle this issue with a stand alone electronic timer circuit....similar to a turbo timer.....a relay with a timer circuit that keeps the unit connected to the constant 12v for a programmable period of time. It would be nice if you could make the screen go dark when you want, however, even though the power is still on...to save battery and to attract less attention from theives. Warren C.

Seems true to me. I've tried to connect with other new model Pioneer single din units with my Treo 700P phone and no joy....???? I was very pleasantly surprised to be able to connect with an F700BT on demo at the local Circuit City. Warren C.

I have 5 gigs of songs on the SD card in my Treo 700p phone.....and popped it out and into a demo unit F700BT at Circuit City. It took me a few minutes to figure out the folder navigation buttons on the screen I got the hang of it pretty quickly......as far as I can tell it only sorts alphabetically by album name....essentially just like searching for a song by album name on a computer using Windows Explorer. I didn't see any search utility or ability to organize by artist, genre, and I found it pretty easy to find a few songs...but I only looked for one or two songs. I might hav

F-series model: F700BT (tested w/ store demo at Circuit City) Phone make/model: Palm Treo 700p Ease of connection: Simple (from Pioneer side) I was amazed, this is the first Pioneer unit I've been able to connect with from my Treo 700P. Perhaps this is due to Parrot, but I've had trouble connecting to stand alone Parrot units. Phone book transfer: I was a little paranoid to have my whole address book go into the store demo unit, but tried one contact and it transferred all my speed dial contacts. ???? My head unit, and AVH-P5700DVD, was damaged by a gorilla burgler. What head units will the Avic 9DVD work with. Anything newer? I'd prefer a double din size this time for cleaner install. WC

I have and Avic 9DVD that was paired with an AVH-p5700 head unit. The head unit was damaged in a burglery attempt. As I explore replacement/repair options, I'd like to know what other head units this navigation unti is compatible with.... Which compatible head unit is the latest...most advanced version. Warren C.
