im guessing when hes saying in the OC he doesnt actually mean the good part of the OC, ie most say yea in Newport Beach or Huntington, no hes probably in fawking Westminister, Gardena or some craphole...

Just got the KNOB from Tom the other day, immediatly put it on, i found it to go on even easier after getting it started by using a socket on teh backside to push down. easier on my hands atleast. gotta say pushing in is easier, i dont find my self changing channels or anything else when trying to change volume like i used to. i was worried about it bouncing when hitting bumps because I live off a dirt road and its harsh but it hasnt done that either. Good job Tom! Even my GF likes your KNOB.

This is the worst Idea I have ever seen, putting a Magnetic GPS antenna on the side of a Mini computer is braindead. you can try putting the GPS antenna on top of the outer metal cage of the Avic so that its hidden beneath the dash.. this works somtimes, others it doesnt. give yourself a pat on the back for learning to solder butt splice connectors work, but when using them it is extemely important to use the right size for the wires you're working with and to use the right kind of crimpers to ensure a secure splice. solder is still better though

do you have the actual IPOD cable from pioneer or are you using your usb cable that came with the device, pioneer thought it would be wonderful if we would spend and extra amount of cash to get playback using a usb/input cable instead of our stock cables...

that would be a really really small screen, kinda defeats the purpose of having it...

had the same issue turned out i needed to save them in 16bit format not 32, even though the filename suggests its 32b its not...

in his defense i know that sometimes this board freezes and acts like its not posting so you hit it anywhere from 2-3 times to get it to pass to the posted screen... but yea.

Mine also locked up when i Tried to edit the Top Menu Text, froze at my spash screen. So i reverted and it booted right up. I used notepad to edit the Avres.Res file and basicallly replaced all Top Menu names in it. So i dont know whats causing it, ie invalid checksum or what. but it definatly did not like it. I know im doing the repack right because my image.res works just fine.

Im playing with the speedcam stuff now, it appears some of its there, just how much is up in the air. i found the format for the igo 8 speedcam software so i just created a speedcam file and im going to upload it in a bit to see if it works right. i cant see why pioneer felt they needed to leave so much out of this software. really sucks.

if you take the ezrider.exe file and load it up into notepad (yes but dont edit ANYTHING). YOu can scan through it and find the options for the strings for the pioneer.ini file... one of them is north_lock when you look into this the ones that are not double spaced are the ones that are already off, the ones that are readable ie the one we are trying to change is turned on (north_lock != n o r t h _ l o c k) see what i am saying....
