So this 18% applies to anything from Al-Eds? I live in LA and have no experience or time to install one of these units on my own and wanted to have it professionally installed at one of the locations vs buying it online. Would this be possible or do i have to buy it online only? PS. Im specifically looking at the Kenwood 8120

Well i must say i was pretty impressed with the JVC, but if the lag on the ipod is how you describe, i must say it looks like its going to be a deal breaker. 10seconds between songs is just unacceptable. Thats pretty unfortunate too, looks like im back to the Kenwood 8120 as my first choice.

Did you get bluetooth installed? If so, how does it sound? I like the unit, although not a big fan of it sticking out, but if that is the only way to get the facepiece to be removable, then that is probably more important! Thanks for those pics! How are you liking it so far?

Im confused on the Ipod compatibility....you said it was relatively slow on the JVC?? Considering i have about 40gb of music on my ipod, the controls and menus need to be relatively fast when scrolling through the music. How has your experience been? Also, does it display album artwork? How large is the art? Also, any screenshots would be great!

What about the iphone? Can anyone give some insight as to how well the BT and phonebook transfers are doing with the iphones??

What are those "few little things" you are talking about?? How is the ipod compatibility, any issues there? Does the unit always recognize your phone or do u have find that you have to pair it a lot?

thats great to hear, perhaps the F series is going to be able to recover. Im using an original iphone so hopefully the reports are just as good.

what is the overall consensus with the new bluetooth on the F series. This is a major priority for me and have heard mixed reviews. Definately can not have an echo..... I agree, the Alpine has the most beautiful user interface especially with the ipod, but they nickle and dime you to death with the add ons and the blackbird unit flat out sucks with bluetooth, but if thats not your priority.

Id like to read something that rates the unit, and gives some opinions on how well the unit preforms, ie bluetooth quality vs just saying it has bluetooth capability.

fotostars - Im debating on getting an F-series and a MAJOR selling point for me is the bluetooth and Ipod compatibility. I like you have a 1st generation Ipod with the 2.0 software. How is your experience with the bluetooth and the F-series?? Does it always connect and stay connected? Phone quality good>?
