  1. 2. Pioneer used Parrot as well. 3. iGO is only the most popular navigation software in the world... Garmin, at least latest iterations is McDonalds of Navis. It'll get you there, but is as basic as navigation software can be. 4. That's Pioneer's problem. NavNGo has updated maps as often as Garmin.
  2. Thanks! The ride is much more fun, and built-in navi is nice... I'll still swing around, though.
  3. ...but all good (or mediocre, as the case with AVIC may be) things must ocme to an end... With a new car with built-in Navi, I won't be messing with AVIC much anymore. I'll still check the forum out, though.
  4. Buy a new Navigation system, basically.
  5. That's rather weird. The only thing I could think of would be to try using a different firmware and try burning that in. May be that would un-reverse the screen.
  6. Yeah, go into engineering mode and restore factory WinCE image first. That should at least let you boot into testmode and then you can copy over either stock or updated files.
  7. Hrm... never heard of the screen getting reversed like that. I would suggest resotring SDMLC (as per threads here) completely. And make sure you are using firmware for your model...
  8. I have one in the US version of 2007 A3. It all works, but installer needs to find correct CANBUS adapters to interface with Pioneer. In Europe, I believe, Soundgate/Dietz should work. I have speedpulse/illumination/reverse/ignition going from a Soundgate adapter with no issues.
  9. The same in English now, please. And lose the caps.
  10. Sorry. iGO is the most powerful and full-featured navigation software on the market. Not that you could see it with Pioneer's custom skin on top of it, but this is easily fixed. Garmins are perfectly fine basic navigators, but no more than that.
  11. signpost_background_color=RGB(0,48,32) This is the line you want to edit. In proper iGO distribution, there'd be an individual file for every resolutiuon, but for AVIC a common one works, since AVIC has a fixed resolution anyway.
  12. Not sure what to do then... May be try resetting it a couple more times, and if it still does not work, call Pioneer.
  13. Strange... this tends to always work for me. Is it still showing blanks for the MSN tuner serial number?
  14. [quote="hondahater at what point.....after it's booted up all the way?? hold it while i turn it on?? when? The only point when it does anything -- after the unit is booted up and you have confirmed that MSN is not working (no MSN ID is displayed in the status screen). MSN receiver in this units becomes very confused if at some point it goes through an incomplete boot (i.e., you've turned the key, but then turned it back off before the unit fully booted) and does not get initialized properly. Reset usually clears it up.

    v4.0 Firmware

You're welcome. I didn't actually do the firmware upgrade (have a new car with stack navi that does it all coming in a month), but 1. There's one EzRider 2. You can upgrade EzRider alone. 3. Testmode still works.

    v4.0 Firmware

I didn't really see any visible changes. Still 8.3 core in any case.

  18. You're welcome! Now, the big test will be if you can do "object.x vTmp "
  19. Either your ZIP program, or you have zipped something wrong. New DATA/ZIP's folder structure should look exactly like the original.
  20. Assuming you can use variable for object's coordinates (I haven't coded iGO in a while, and don't have one handy right now)... You could use something like this (from Stanislavovich's speedcam scripts): vTmp.Set vCurrentSpeedcamSpeedLimit INCVAL "vTmp" vSpeedcamOverspeedTolerance So, if vTmp is an integer variable, you would use .set to get the initial value. Then use INCVAL (or DECVAL) to add/subtract (you can use either other variable or a numeric constant).
