  1. It could very possibly be that the generic maps license does not cover building files, and some other ones is needed. I never bothered to sort them one by one, and just keep all the licenses that were ever posted here in the license folder. They are small enough...
  2. First of all, do you have .3DC files for, say, Illinois? Pioneer Blue isn't the best scheme as far as the visibility of buildings goes, but you should see something. If you don't, start adding license files...
  3. Interestingly enough, after applying these registry changes, TP2 finally started making voice announcements of caller's name through the BT headset (either my Jabra or AVIC) as well. Neat!
  4. .SPDB -- generated by the system from the camera .TXT file. Same content as the TXT file, just compressed/optimized for iGO's use. .SPUD -- cameras manually entered/edited through iGO interface itself.
  5. You're welcome! As far as I know, nobody even managed to get a US version of AVIC to tune to all of European radio stations yet...
  6. Can't be done, this is hardware difference. Euro versions have RDS tuner/decoder, and US versions (the ones that have it at all) have MSND tuner/decoder instead. The HD Radio adapter for AVIC does have RDS decoder, but it a) does not do TMC and only tunes in US frequency steps, so that won't help you much either...

    F500BT TTS

Ummm, sure. Samantha is a TTS voice (says so right on ??? screen), and Jason isn't.
  8. Hard to say why they went that way... Probably so that non-Navi screens could be controlled off of headlights. Scheme switching is a native iGO function, so they just kept that. Of course iGO could control screen brightness itself (it does on PDA versions), but may be they wanted to give you more flexibility...
  9. Not really. There's some kind of magic in iGO that decides when the sun should be down in whatever location GPS is reporting...
  10. Day/Night mode changes depending on GPS time and position. Headlight sensor only changes screenbrightness.
  11. For me (Verizon WM6.5) this simply killed any and all Bluetooth operation on the phone
  12. Codeplex, actually: http://bthfx.codeplex.com/
  13. It looks like Jetware was released into open source, there's something going one at Sourceforge with it, but they always were supporting Microsoft's Bluetooth stack, rather than Widcomm in Touch Pro2/Tilt2...
  14. January 18, 2010 update + Runs ExtLauncher, instyead of autorun.mscr + Program Launch Menu: all programr removed, iGo exit added - Bug fix: "Select" button in POI detail screen would allow selection only if accessed through Main Menu\Destination + Can calculate real distance to POI: currently, iGO shows distance to POIs in POI list as the crow flies. Now added a button to compute real distance to POI from current GPS position + Call POI button change. If a phone is connected, it is a button. If not, static text.
  15. I don't have a 500, but supposedly you can change USB port in Control Panel, after booting into Testmode, to work as standard ActiveSync WinMo device.
  16. The one that shows your current position? Simple -- drive the car, and it will move around.
  17. I'll ask people on 4PDA who had set up the emulation...
  18. Try these ones... I do get task/menu bar when emulator starts. Also, Alt-Tab works...
  19. Voice command... Does not seem to work for me with Jabra 3030, which is a pain...
  20. Run the emulator with a bat file like this: del /Q /F avic_80\USER\UserData\SETUP\* rmdir avic_80\USER\UserData\SETUP "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Device Emulator\1.0\deviceemulator.exe" /memsize 256 /sharedfolder avic_80 /c nk.bin /skin "avic.xml" Assuming the skin code I pasted above is in avic.xml MainMenu is what actually intercepts button presses and dispatches them to iGO, AV module, etc.
  21. Do updated BT friles make Touch Pro2 announce incoming calls through the Bluetooth headset (not necessarily AVIC) instead of the device speaker?
  22. You, personally, can not.
  23. learn something new every day, thanks Boris! You're welcome. That's why if you use the HD Radio adapter, it will show statio name (or something else, depending on broadcast and what you have selected) even for analog stations.
  24. Assuming he has US model, of course. Euro models do have RDS in the built-in tuner.. True.. but doesn't everyone else refer to it as TMC? Not necessarily. TMC is sent over RDS, but RDS can send other information as well (station name, current song, weather alerts, etc.).
  25. planned_road and planned_road_ext. You could also modify planned_road_alt1 through 5 if you are using multicalc/multidraw mods.
