This is different problem than mine, as I get my iPod to work again just restarting AVIC, no need to do anything with iPod. Its just annoying because AVIC boot time is slow, I've already driven one km from home when I recognize that iPod connection is not working and I should stop and shut down whole car to make it work again

I have EU version of Avic F-900 which has strange problem, that sometimes it doesn't start properly: when audio starts during bootup there's random interferences in speakers,v like AVIC were taking interference from some other electric device and touch screen is completely unresponsible, only harware buttons work. After I power off avic and power it back, unit starts up properly. I'm currently using V3 software with IDT Mod, these problems have been present with unmodded V3 too, unfortunately I dont remember if they were present with V2. Has anyone else this problem?

Thanks for your suggestion, I've already tried couple of times to hard reset my iPod but it didnt help. When AVIC interface language is changed, avic asks if its ok to reboot and if clicked "yes", it reboots without losing audio settings, so it should be somehow possible

I have small problem with my AVIC-F900 and IPod; sometimes when I start my car Avic doesn't recognize my IPod, unplugging and reconnecting IPod doesn't help at all, so problem is not in loose connection, only way to fix this is restart AVIC. As there's no power button in AVIC, only ways to restart it is turn car on and off (not very useful) or press reset button in front panel with stylus, which clears all audio settings in AVIC (not useful too). Is it possible to programmatically restart AVIC without losing settings, or is only way to do this to add switch between AVIC power line?

Ovalball, please download version 3 image found in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=26625 when you boot in testmode, before copying these files to flash disk, delete old folder APL2\IGO completely from your flash disk. If you just copy new folder overwriting old files, there may be still some old files leftover, which causes these problems. I had corrupted speedcam.txt-file in my flash disk which caused this same error message, and it didn't go away although I copied original folder from SD, as speedcam.txt file wasn't included in original folder, therefore this corrupted file still exi

This problem is caused usually by nav part, so problem is most likely in APL2\IGO-folder. If you have clean installation files, try to delete this folder from your flash disk and then copy clean one to flash disk. If you just copy new folder it doesn't overwrite existing folders completely; if there's files in existing folder which aren't in folder being copied, those "extra" files are left to flash disk, which may cause problems. Hmm...only difference between your code and PPCWarez-code is that inside SPRITE-tag you have set variable phasemodel="navigation.current_speed_limit" but that variable is completely missing in PPCwarez example, could that be the problem?

It looks like that with iGo 8.3 you have to use different code for displaying f.ex. speed limit signs. Hi Jörg, I got confirmation from Pioneer that TMC doesn't work in Finland, as it has to be licensed from service provider (Destia) and Pioneer hasn't licensed it yet, maybe in future. Also, Pioneer support told me that in Germany TMC service provider is using same encryption with TMC as in Finland, and GPS manufacturers have to buy license from service provider, do you know if its true? Therefore I might be able to hack TMC to work in Finland too. Process might be this simple: 1. Locate where TMC decryption key is saved in Avic system files 2. Copy key value from any other GPS system

Hmm, this propably isn't problem as I haven't installed any mods yet after upgrading to v3, so sys.txt should have correct device info. I searched little bit forums and found out that for TMC to work, FM channel which is transmitting TMC signal should be saved to radio presets. I dont listen radio often, especially that channel that transmits TMC signal here in Finland so I haven't even saved it as radio presets. Gotta try this after leaving from work. Its strange that user manual doesn't mention that TMC channel should be saved to presets!

Thank you very much for info! Unfortunately I'm having issues with TMC in my unit, so I'll have to revert back to OEM v2 software to make sure if problem is in software or hardware itself, in that case I can get it repaired as my Avic is still under warranty. I will continue with V3 software when TMC issue is solved.

This mod is really cool, especially quick menus! I'd like to use this as "template" when making my first mod, which will be european mod, therefore I can remove f.ex. MSN Direct functions from quick menus. I'm trying to locate code for quick menus in .ui-files using names of image files that keeper has used in quickmenus, but I cant find those images! F.ex. image that is used as drop-down-arrow. Also image used in menu 4 (MSN), I found one image which looks like that (746_32K_MN-794_32b.bmp) but cant find any reference to that file in any of .ui -files! What am I doing wrong? Also I cant o

After update I had problem too that device kept resetting itself after couple of minutes, also I wasn't able to access map/navigation. This problem was caused by USB key(Kingston 16GB); if USB key is connected when device is started, it will keep resetting itself; if I first start device and then connect USB key, everything works perfectly.
