  1. shouldn't I 'back-up' what firmware is on my current AVIC 700BT model now? If something goes wrong during the 3.0 installation, can't I just insert my old firmware and install that again or does it now work like that? If I do need to back up stuff, how would I go about doing this?
  2. Is backing up the firmware even needed? If something goes wrong, can't I just redownload the 2.0 firmware off Pioneers website and reload it in?
  3. Does this "hacked" version require a password to install? I'm so worried I am going to mess this up, I need to figure out how to Backup my old firmware. Someone please help me. If you have AIM please message me on wwefreak95 THANKS!
  4. Alright, Here is what I got. I have 1 SD card. Do I just copy all the files (Minus the part_1 and part_2 rar's) onto the SD card and load it into the AVIC 700bt? And follow the steps like on page one of that one thread but forget the swapping SD cards? I need to back up my old firmware first right? How would I go about doing this?
  5. I followed the instructions in this thread with no issues, just skip the parts that mention swapping out SD Cards: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25817 So far there have approximately 140 downloads with only 1 reported issue, I would hope that others would have spoken up by now? Okay. SD 1: WINCEIMG.BIN & WINCEIMG.CKS - 17.8MB (Copy just the 2 files from the update on the card) (Use the WinCE files from the X-Series Update. Files are in the PLT folder) Link: http://ds1.downloadtech.net/cn1010/firm ... Update.zip SD 2: TestMode 2.3 - 1.65MB ( Must be in a testmode folder) Link: do
  6. Where do I purchase this at? I tried looking on the Pioneer website and it's listing the current firmware is 2.06 or something for the AVIC 700BT.
  7. Anyone having a problem with MyITGuy's files?
  8. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25751&start=585 I'm talking about MyITGuy's post on the bottom of this page, he posted a link to two files both 700MB's each. I've been reading that you need 3 SD cards but apparently we only need one with this install. I read someone else on here tried this and bricked their unit. I'm ALL about the 3.0 and want it really bad but I'm SO worried about bricking it since I bought this unit for close to $1000 not that long ago. I'm sure we all have but I'm debating on leaving it on 2.0 or take the risk with this. Can some others confirm this install is fine? If
  9. I THINK ever since updating to 2.0 and updating the bluetooth, my calls have been acting up. Everytime someone calls me, It rings and when I answer it, no sound out of the speakers. They can't hear me, I can't hear them but the called was answered cause the time on the phone of the phone call is counting. If I call out, SOMETIMES it works, sometimes again, just quiet. What is going on and is anyone getting this too? I'm pretty sure this happened after the update but I don't remember as I don't use the bluetooth THAT much.
  10. I do agree though, a lot of you people on here are ignorant.
  11. How do I go about using the phone and iPod VR on my F700bt?

    iPod vs SD

Well, you just need to know how to organize everything. For me, I am a neat freak and everything needs to be perfect so I made folders for every band, then you go into that and its the album name and then u click that and all the songs pop up. I pretty much made it like an ipod just you can search genre and playlists but I don't care for either one of them. I just like the fact I don't need to keep taking the iphone out of my pocket each time I get it and out of the car. It's awesome. I am going to purchase a 16GB soon. If I put a video onto the card, while driving, can I watch the mov
  13. Yup. I just got the F700BT yesterday and I love it. You can search your POI. You access the POI and in the bottom left it has "Search". Works VERY well too. And yes again, you can store all your address in a "Favorites" and you just click the Favorites button and they are all there named and all. Just press the name and sets up for you already. It's awesome. Very very sick unit.

    iPod vs SD

I purchased the $50 cable for my iphone so I use the ipod. I have a 4gb, btw. I found a 512MB SD card around the house and decided to throw a few CD's on there and try it out. It is awesome! I love using the SD Card, I kind of wish I didn't buy the cable and put the $50 towards a 16GB card. That would be so nice. I can put videos and everything on it. But tell me, is there any difference between them? Like, what does the ipod feature that the SD card cannot have? Any quality difference?
  15. Damn, I figured. This suckks. Although, I put a lot of songs on a SD Card and they are playing great, it's amazing. This headunit rocks. Will videos work if I put them on the SD Card?
