  1. I got the email today and just started to laugh! The last update messed up my F700 more than it improved it! No thanks...
  2. I am glad to see I am not the only one. I thought I screwed something up or my SD card was the problem.
  3. SD playback is completely usless now... I think they might have fixed the chopping off of the last 5 seconds of a song problem but in doing that completely screwed the media player!
  4. I am having my share of issues with 3.0. I am starting to wonder if it has to do with the VBR files on my SD card. When all of us were running 2.0, there was a known issue with playing VBR files and the F series cutting the last few seconds of the song off. That now seems to be resolved! Except now my AVIC can't do two things at once. Like play music and use the NAVI at the same time. The NAVI works perfect but the music player will play a song with no problem and then not go to the next song unless I push the MENU and then the MAP button. Then it will move to the next song and whe
  5. Version 3 has resolved the USB issue. If you are playing music from a USB device it will resume AT THE BEGINNING of the song that you left off on... I guess resuming a song where you left off is still a little too much to ask...
  6. The worst part about this is v2.10 sucks! My unit now has crippling issues. The graphics driver is not refreshing the screen and playing MP3's from an SD card is painful. There is a one minute or so pause between every song and the ID3 titles don't update unless I push a function to force a refresh. So in short to those of you that have not started the process yet. Wait until the server comes back up so you won't be stuck using 2.10.
  7. This morning after clicking on submit it briefly flashes a red screen and then goes right back to "Invald Devcie Number" message.
  8. Ordered mine on 7/14 and still "Awaiting Shipment". Hopefully it ships tomorrow!
  9. I guess it would be safe to say the Z110 runs Windows CE too?
  10. I purchased a Spectec 802.11b almost 2 years ago for my Treo 700wx and it still works great today! I only paid about $20 for it back then. I think Spectec is the most popular.
  11. Here was the thread I posted a few months ago. I purchased a USB 10/100 ethernet adapter that had Win CE5 and CE6 drivers available for it. They provide all registry entries and of course the drivers. The adapter was on $10 at my local Fry's Electronics. If one of you that know how to read registery could take a look at the info they provide and tell me if this is difficult that would be awsome. http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=20471
  12. This is all good info! I ordered mine from Amazon this week and it is on its way. I got the 20 just because the price difference was very little and I thought it might be a bit more refined than the first attempt from Pioneer. Who knows though? I am hoping it is a better analog tuner than the one built into the F series. I am going to mount it as close to the antenna as I can to try to improve reception. My car has an amplified (AM only) FUBA antenna and it needs to be replaced. I listen to AM more than FM (news and sports) so that is what I am hoping to improve. How long is the
  13. That was exactly the reason that I mentioned a USB wired ethernet adapter. It would just aquire an IP from the connected router and would not require any action by the user.
  14. You can build a carputer for under $400 and use a HU like your F700 to display it. But why when with the right software you can make the F series do it internally? My other vehicle has a carputer from mini-box.com and it works perfect. I spent about $360 on all the parts.
  15. This has been discussed many times on here. I don't have programming know how or I would give it a shot. I think the AVIC has some of the stacks required for TCP/IP. I noticed it had an icon for BT DUN which is Bluetooth Dial Up Networking. Now my idea was a bit different. I want the internet connection to be as easy as possible for the AVIC. This is why I don't think a WiFi adapter in the SD slot is the best solution. I purchased a USB 10/100 wired ethernet adapter that has CE 5 drivers available. In fact a few months ago I posted all this info on a thread and no body chimed in. I
