2 things i can tell you. 1. I have the same camera but mine mounts to the license plate and it works fine with f series so you either did something wrong or got a bad camera. 2. wires are positive and negative for a reason so you could have smoked the camera reversing polarity

run the rca wires and a amp turn on wire from the headunit to the amp then from the amp to the speaker

google maps gives the same directions so check it there

I have had my f90 since pre 2.0. I was annoyed that the bootup time was 2 minutes but then 2.0 came. I have sirius in 15 seconds. My system is fully booted in about 45 seconds. I have had no such problems you describe. gps/fm/ipod/dvd/phone/backup camera/ etc all work fine and I use it everyday. There are some annoyances that everyone has and missing features but no problems like you are mentioning.
