  1. Yes, I can do it manually, but it's odd that my previous Pioneer BT stereo would just pass the audio back to the iPhone 3G, whereas the AVIC won't.... Thanks for the reply...
  2. This is a really weird one. My iPhone 3G connects to my F700BT with no issues. However, if I turn the car off, it doesn't disconnect automatically and route the call back to the handset only. I have to pick "Audio Source" as iPhone, since "Pioneer Navi" is still selected. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks!
  3. According to the manual, 3 green blinking lights is good.
  4. Aren't the bars supposed to be blinking? On my 700BT's GPS page I have 3 blinking green bars....
  5. Same findings in my 08 STI. Laggy etc with my F700BT.
  6. First, you follow these directions: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/838081/ And then you end up, like me, with the F700BT, - voila!
  7. I just had my 08 STI outfitted with the F700BT (same as the F90BT essentially). I have the mic in the roof where it meets the windshield , the mic part clipped around so it's facing my mouth. It's hidden by the black strip in the blue strip across the top of the windshield. No complaints from anyone aside from the usual "you're quiet, when you're on the highway!" An easy try-out for you would be to remove the mic from the gauge cluster and just hold it out in front of you and see if people still complain.
  8. I really hope this bug can be fixed. Yes, I call it a bug, because it wasn't like this on previous Pioneer BT stereos I've owned. Seems madness it doesn't pause the music.... madness I tell you...
  9. I love seeing it. Gives the music a more organic feel. It's actually one of many reasons I got my AVIC...
  10. Got my new F700BT for $348 after cashback. Can't complain about that.
  11. Thank you for the reply. Doesn't that seem ridiculous to you? My previous Pioneer BT stereo single-din (no navigation) actually paused the music. I can't believe it would be that hard to program a PAUSE when a call is made or comes in. This for me is a huge issue, actually.
  12. I have a couple of iPods, and with either of them connected to my AVIC-F700BT, my music never pauses when I get a call. The music is muted and calls work fine, but after the call ends, it continues my music as if it had never paused! e.g. I'm on track 1 when a call comes in (or I make a call), and then I talk for 10 minutes, and then the call ends and it resumes on track 4 or 5 (or however long 10 minutes of music is). Is there something I'm missing or is it designed this way? It's rather infuriating! Thank you for any help you can offer!
  13. wonderdiva, that's exactly the issue I have with the Apple theme. Not sure why it's displaying like that....
  14. Hey Marmski, thanks so much for the Apple theme from the first page. However, the back arrow in the top right looks a bit funny on my F700BT, like it's a button and a quarter visible. Any chance of a fix for that? I totally have OCD so any help would appreciated! Thank you again!
  15. That setting does not turn off beeps in audio playback etc. It only turns off beeps in navigation mode. This thread is still magic.
  16. So there's no way to just create a shortcut to the screen off button using a software hack? Thanks again...
  17. In the System Menu, you can turn the LCD screen off, but only when the handbrake is UP. Crying or Very sad It's odd because it's clearly designed to be pressed when driving because if you LEAVE the Pioneer in the system menu and start driving, you can still turn the screen on and off, but as soon as you leave the system menu you can't get back in!! Evil or Very Mad Do any of you uber hackers have a way to make a shortcut to turning the LCD off when driving? It would save my eyes a bit at night when all want is music. Thank you so much in advance! (I posted this in the wrong forum s

  19. I'm a dumb-butt. I didn't wait long enough, and indeed the contacts now just transferred. Thanks for the help! You were right.
  20. Thank you SO much for this tip. Just got my 700BT installed tonight, and the beeps drove the wife and I NUTS. I fixed it in 2 minutes with this hack!
  21. I've been trying for HOURS to get my iPhone contacts onto my new F700BT, to no avail. I can sync my old Sony Ericsson NO problems and get the contacts that way, but if I want to use my iPhone, it says I have no contacts synced. Is there a way or hack to get my contacts onto the Pioneer? I VERY rarely add contacts nowadays, so if I could just get what I have on there, I'd be so happy. Thanks in advance, all...
