Well... your steps seems OK. Did you delete the APL/APL2 directories and paste the new ones? Perhaps you just overwrite them and that is your problem. You have it about right, I used test mode V2.3 to back old flash data up and later to paste new Apl and Apl2, details for how to update wince are available if you do a search for Konick he kindly provided enough info for me to do this procedure trouble free. So i can change presets using my steering wheel etc, but i still have 8.0 maps. No. I didn't install anything else. Before the update ... it didn't work ... and after the update .. it works! (i am always talking about changing the preset stations from the left up button of the wheel) As for the speed ... i think it is really in a good stage. Since noone answered my question regarding the update ... i tried it by myself. So ... The correct procedure for a european Unit is the below: 1) I updated the WINCE from the wince files that Paul uploaded and the instuctions i got here in forum (don't forget to do the update WINCE and choose the option WITHOUT format). 2) Testmode works just fine after the update. I got in the windows, i renamed the APL directory (backup purposes) and i add the APL directory that Paul gave us too. 3) Reboot and everything is working just great. One important note: you can use any iGO 8.0 maps, but not 8.3! iGO 8.3 has different map format and you can't use any newest 8.3 maps (either TeleAtlas or Navteq) on stock AVIC-iGO. I can't find where is the important thing in this! You mean that from now on i could not update my maps in newer versions? So i just change the maps. The software is the same. So there are no other differences between US and EU model right? Thanks.

Thanks. You mean the hack that is in the previous page with the licences right? Well can somehow get and install the default europe maps(that comming with the europe devices) in US device? Or i can only install maps like iGo or Tomtom etc? Thanks.

Hello all my friends. It is really nice to be with you in this forum that i just discovered. Well ..i read many topics here in the forum but i want to ask some things before i buy the Pioneer F900BT. I am in europe and i want to buy from the US the US version (it is really cheaper). As i understand right now... we can change the licences to Europe mode and we can do the same with the Igo Maps. By default the europe version came with Igo maps or not? (am i correct till now?) Are there any else differences between these two versions? Many thanks for your replies and nice to be
