  1. I have an '06 f150. My antenna's installed in the dash on top of the steel dash brace and I'm getting excellent reception. I have seen many recommendations for our truck to install it here.
  2. If you're that worried about it, why not install a hidden switch on the accessory lead that you could flip when you had to valet it.
  3. I really don't think that it's a good idea to use the remote turn on wire to power any other device. It is meant to be a low amp supply just to signal the amps to turn on. People with more than one amp usually just use it to turn on a relay which in turn turns on the amps.
  4. Just a shot in the dark but have you set your 'Home'? I hope this isn't too stupid but I wonder if i may use that to determine when it's day or night.
  5. I wonder why they did it this way. With my other Pioneer deck it only needs the usb to get audio and fully control the ipod.
  6. I live in Alberta, Canada. We just recently went through a spell of -30 to -35C weather. My f700 worked fine throughtout this weather. Mine's installed in an '06 F150. I was surprized how well it worked really. I didn't have to wait for the truck to warm up either, it worked right from a cold start.
  7. Just to make sure I understand... You can leave the gps receiver inside the dash? I routed mine out but I want to try it that way now. Where are you guys installing the mic? I'd like to run it up to the overhead console but that could be tough. Ps, also just installed on my '06 f150. My deck is a 700 without backup cam so I didn't have to find the VSS or backup wires.
