I've seen map updates in the past sell for in excess of $100 USD, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was around that price point. I also agree with the poster above, as I wonder how much of speed increase is due to new hardware..? My buddy was under the impression that he was being shown the new OS on an old 90BT, but who knows for sure!? from the map updates youve seen, what format are they in? cd? dvd? sd?

how much does everybody expect the update to cost? and do you think it'll be a download version on an sd card? and maybe we can share it

how necessary would new maps be? is there a lot of changes?

Screw paying for it. I feel really bad for those who paid retail for this and then found out all the problems. But as I've said before...we should all pitch in a couple $$ to buy it and share it with eachother. What format would it be in? Dvd?sd card?

i live in so cal and its supposed to have good service but it sucks. it takes way too long to load when it finally loads. the weather takes forever and sometimes the movie theatres are inacurate. not worth my $129

true. retail on it is $1200. some people bought it right when it came out and paid over $1000 easy. if i was 1 of them id be extremely pissed to have tp pay for a bs update that shouldnt be necessary if they had tested it enough

on the website it said it had great coverage in my area but everything takes way too long to load and sometimes inaccurate. i will not be re-newing membership

i have an 09 XB and was having the same problem a couple months ago. i shopped around EVERYWHERE. i got quoted anywhere between $120-$250. i found a shop in garden grove where im supposedto get my wheels from that did it for $80 since im supposed to get my wheels there. everywhere else was an arm anda leg. im the same way you are...i didnt trust myself to do it. i paid too much money to have a half ass install. your best bet is to get a referral from somebody here or a friend or else theyre going to charge you an arm and a leg. let me know how the steering wheel controls work
