my problem was solely a hardware problem(i was receiving feedback through my speakers that was determined to be coming from inside the headunit). it is just wishful thinking on my part that they would update my unit to 3.0 without me asking for that. and i hope they solved my hardware problem, seeing they had my avic for 2.5 weeks

So long story short I started experiencing feedback through my speakers from my 90bt. I shipped my unit back to Pioneer and they shipped it out Friday, everything fixed under warranty. So heres my reason for this thread, when I talked to Pioneer Friday, the ASSURED me everything wrong with the unit was completelty fixed and will be running as well as ever. So does this mean I should be expecting them to send me my unit back with 3.0 installed on it now(it was not before) or will they be sending me a newer Pioneer model, because over the last year my 90bt NEVER ran smoothly lol. hi, i have the 3.0 file downloaded on my macbook. i know with a mac u cannot mod the data.zip because it wont rezip it properly. does anyone know if i can just put the files on the sd card and upload them normally even though im on a mac. sorry if this question is novice but i do not want to bring my unit

i had not been on avic411 in MONTHS. i recently was checking the site and the pioneers site and ran across some things. while i am still running the original os, on http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... 90BT?tab=F you can download a firmware update. i thought verison 3.0 cost money and wasnt free? is this free download really 3.0? and i am having a ton of problems with my mic. i want to unplug it and plug it back in but idk where it connects to the unit. does it connect right to the back of it or is it tied into the wire harness? sorry for the ignorance everyone, thanks in advance!

i have had nothing but problems with my mic. people cant hear anything i say thru the mic, regardless of how close to the mic i am. VR doesnt pick up a single word i say. i havent upgraded to 3.0 due to me being a poor college student lol. any body have a remedy to this?

I have two dumb questions, sorry in advanced. A- i know it says unhook the ipod does that mean just unhook the ipod or the entire cable from the back of the unit B- do i want to install the formatted or unformatted version. im using a macbook if that means anything

ok i just drove it and now i got the parking break wired wrong message. what would the loose connection be?

I apologize for not being complete in my first post. I did all of the hardware bypass to the t. I just thought i read somewhere that if I get that message I have a bad ground

me and another member on the forum did the hardware bypass on my car today. We grounded the parking break wire to the black ground wire. Now the only function that I can't get while driving that I couldnt before is the poi function. With a DVD in I get the viewing in the front seat is prohibited but only afteril I get up to about 20 mph. I cannot input an address while driving or search for a poi. Is my problem a bad ground?

im gonna apologize ahead of time for not reading the manual, im at college and it is not with me. over the weekend i was on a road trip and needed gas and went to search for a gas station near by. problem is i couldnt find how to search for all gas stations, i could only search by brand. is there a way to search for all local gas stations?

my first gen ipod touch works and my buddies 2nd gen ipod touch works with my f90bt. my ipod touch was jailbroken and the hu wouldnt recognize it until i restored it to the original format

it says to zip the file onto my sd card. i have a mac and i know they have problems zipping the data.zip. will i still be able to upload it?

no its not connected to the harness that connects to the back of the unit. it comes from ( i think not sure) the harness that the harress that comes from the unit attaches to

The problem occurs when a separate the green and white wire from the green parking break wire. the bypass wont work when these two wires are separated because the unit thinks the cars in motion and all the navi buttons are blacked out like im in motion. my question is where should the green and white wire go cuz it shouldnt be attached to the green parking break wire

yes ive done all that. the wire that is attached to the parking break wire is the problem. when its just hanging after being removed from the parking break wire all the navi buttons are locked. once i re attach it to the parking break wire everything works normally.

i know the process of the bypass but if i remove the parking break wire and the other wire the unit locks all the in motion buttons. what do i do with that green and white wire after i seperate it from the parking break one

the place that installed my unit tried to bypass it and culdnt figure it out. why idk. i tried to do it my self but they spliced some wires together. the green parking break wire is spliced to a green and white wire. when i cut the wires and did the whole bypass procedure they car had all the nav buttons locked as if i was in motion. once i reconnected the parking break wire to the green and white wire the unit worked as it should. my question is can i just ground the parking break wire while its attached to the other wire and do the software bypass to make it work?

well i grounded all the wires correctly and moved the mute wire. the problem is i cut the parking break wire from the wire its sodered to and do the bypass correctly but the car thinks i am in motion. the problem has to do with the wire thats attached to the parking break wire

I tried to do my bypass but it was a nightmare. The shop that installed the unit jerry rigged it i guess. When i removed the unit there were 6 wires cut and sodered together?! I doubt this is the proper way to install this. Im not good with what each wires are for but heres how the back of my unit looks: 1-the green parking brake wire is cut and sodered to a green and white wire 2-theres a a purple wire sodered to a green and purple wire 3- i cant remember what out 2 wires were sodered together off the top of my head ill look tomorrow here the thing, i cut the parking break wire from
