I would like to say a few words here on this subject of getting a copy of an image to update Z1 to Z2. I think many people think we should give Pioneer what they are due BUT I disagree with that. If one pays for an update for the Z2 then you are also saying to Pioneer that it is ok: 1. It is ok to sale a product that has maps that are out of date 2. I found that the quality of my calls increased dramatically with the iPhone and the AT&T service on my Z1 versus my old phone the razar and Tmobile. The people I call now say that they can hear me much better and they do not hear the roar of my engine each time I shift. Plus not even a slight hint of echo – no echo at all. When receiving or making a call the phone also lets you choose between the car speakers or the phone’s ear piece (it will default to the car speakers if nothing is chosen). You probably already know this: My understanding is the database is looking for the way CD was originally made. All the songs for the entire album on one CD in order with same length of songs and space (or time) in between each track. With this information it knows which album you are trying to play and or record to the hard drive. Andrew

I’m willing to mail them a letter. In working with other tech companies and being part of discussion forums I found taking polls in the forum and deciding as group which items are the most important to the group, helped. When Pioneer comes out with map updates do they offer them for free or discounted for people that recently purchased a new unit? Garmen gives something like 60 days of map updates for free from puchase date. Thanks, Andrew

I’m sorry I did not want to create another post on where the best placement of the antenna but to find out if the Sirius antenna would interfere with the GPS antenna if they where placed next to each other (an inch apart). Do you think Sirius antenna would interfere with the GPS antenna? Any thought – thanks, Andrew

Is there any problem putting the GPS antenna next to the Sirius antenna (Say an inch apart)? The installer put the Sirius antenna on the trunk but the GPS antenna inside on the dash. After reading this forum and the install manual I was disappointed that the installer put the GPS antenna on the dash. Do you think I should have him change it and put the GPS antenna outside on the trunk? Thanks, Andrew

I have read all the manuals for AVIC-Z1 but I am having hard time understanding the sections about subwoofer and its settings on page 150 and 156. Could someone explain these pages and the setting of the subwoofer in plain English? When it talks about the subwoofer output and the navigation system what are they referring to? What does it mean to me and my settings? I want to make sure I have it setup correctly. Thanks in advance for the help, Andrew
