  1. That is exactly what I was thinking. I need to do some more situational testing on this to be sure. Hitting reset doesn't seem to do anything but reset the 0's to 0 and the start time to the current time. I just went into the garage and booted it 5 times. I couldn't get the trip meter to respond any of them. Booted having shutdown from the map, main menu, satellite a couple times each. Even gave a min or two to finish startup. The last time I even recopied the data.zip and deleted the save files. Still got all 0's. Granted I never moved at all, the stationary time should have been count
  2. I am in the car right now and the trip computer is working In my data.zip as it should. It looks like bud's assesment is correct. It's intermittant.
  3. Hey Bud- Nice work! One question... at the bottom of your post there is some loose code that doesnt have any instructions: !house_number_show.wav !house_number_hide.wav Where does that go?
  4. Look at my screen cap above... it says feet. Did they change it on you when porting it over to 3.0? EDIT: Nevermind... I see that NSEW pointed out its over an elevation of 1 mine. I have not gone that high with it as I live at sea level. Thanks for the info.
  5. Hey NSEW- In my case its not that its not storing the trip data. As a matter of fact I cant say that I mind that since a lot of it is nice to have specific to the current time in the car. What we are talking about is that after doing this integration into our data.zip's everything is reading 0. Always. As in it never starts counting time, speed, elevation, anything. Its just not reading the GPS data so it always reads 0. Here is how mine looks even if I am on the freeway doing 70MPH.

  7. Yes. There is one there already with less icons in it. You are just replacing it with a larger one with more unique images.
  8. I dunno. I added it to my existing mod. What I was thinking is that you could copy your existing data.zip to data2.zip and then copy over Ben's just to test to see if it works correctly. If it does then its most likely something that he missed in the integration steps. If it doesn't then there is a larger flaw with the mod itself. I did this and it worked correctly which tells me that its just the integration steps. If you do it and it works as well then that should validate it.
  9. Hmmmm you look like you are having the same problem I am. When you used the original data.zip that Ben posted did it happen then?
  10. hmm - sorry about that - potentially I missed a step. I'll look over it this afternoon and check. I'll do some greps on the different ui file to make sure and post what I find out. It very well could be something on my part. Just wondering if there was something that stuck out at you that might cause this. I will grep some more around your original data file and see if there is anything else I can come up with too.
  11. One question... I have this all integrated into Keepers mods. Everything is showing up correctly and I get no errors but the problem is its not polling any data. Everything is showing 0. If I drop in your data.zip it all works fine. Is there something that I missed to make it not read any trip data?
  12. You wouldn't happen to have one with all the icons as well? Memory usage difference is pretty small, and I'd rather have icons everywhere... Agreed... if you could have the full list of icons then I could include it in my mod pack for everyone to use. Right now it might be too specific to region. I will probably use it myself though. Nice work!
  13. That did it! One little comma can ruin it. I have to move a couple things around in the while driving scenario but I have the trip computer working with an icon that mostly matches your others.

  15. Hey Guys- Lets talk layers. I am trying to add an icon/menu to keepers drop down menu. The icon will show up at the bottom below the MSN icon as I placed it. This is the code I used at the bottom of Keepers menu to get it to show: To add in a layer (that you would tap to get the slide menu to come out so you can have an action) I created/added in this layer at the bottom below the layer: If I leave this code commented out the unit starts fine.   19. I am completely perplexed as to why its doing this on some and not on others. Can you answer these questions for me?: 1. Have you ever modded before putting these mods on? 2. When you "reverted back to your backup of the flash disk" was that an unmodded backup? 3. If you are back to the original unmodded (ever) config can you try just doing the font (bnt.ttf) and the data.zip and see if you have the same problems? Thanks!
  20. Thanks! I just try to make sure that I give credit to the people that deserve it when I post it back up. There are a lot of people doing great work on these boards and we are all benefiting a lot. So thanks for your's, keepers and Adam's great work as well. This is really my first mod. I am trying to see if I can get the trip computer into this with an on/off switch in the menu. I am having a hard time adding in a 5th icon below the MSN one in keepers awesome menu system. We'll see how far I get.

  22. I didnt change a single thing... lol. All I did was rezip it. Something must have gone wrong when I used winrar to compress it. I will upload a new set and update the threads. Thanks for testing for me! Sorry for the hassle.
  23. I'm in the us.........try again also deleted files in save, got error (fail to open file gfix/day/cs.bmp exiting application) still wouldn't go to nav screen That is so odd.. There is no cs.bmp. I even went and looked in Keepers original file as well as IDT's. I have rezipped the data.zip.   24. I just copied all of these files to my unit again and it works just fine. IDT recommends deleting the save files. It's in My Flash Disk\USER\UserData\iGo\save, everything should be deleted except for favorites.dat if you have it. Try that and see if it fixes it?
