  1. For Road signs and travel, we use Miles and Feet.
  2. The process I have listed above is how to downgrade an EU unit from 3.010100 to 3.000300, to then allow you to upgrade to 3.020200. Also you may need to ensure that the WinCE image is at least the same version as used in 3.000300 before starting my process above. I suggest you refer to one of the other guides for install V3 firmware in a V2 unit. Perhaps thread viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25751 In theory, using the process in the link above, but at step one use the files in the archive "avic f900_700_500 ver_3.000300(part1).rar " instead. Again this is for EU units only. K.
  3. You can't use the "avic f900_700_500 ver_3.000300(part1).rar" archives because these are for the EU F900BT, but the same process would work if you can find an old US backup that is version 3.000300.
  4. The method below is for European / UK AVIC-F900BT units and if you are in any doubt, DO NOT DO THIS!!!! This was the only way I could go from 3.0101 (or whatever) as the 3.020200 update would not run directly. Download the EU version of 3.000300 from link viewtopic.php?f=34&t=26625&p=182800 You will get 3 files with the names, you will need to rename them to extract them : avic f900_700_500 ver_3.000300(part1).rar -> avic f900_700_500 ver_3.000300.rar avic f900_700_500 ver_3.000300(part2).rar -> avic f900_700_500 ver_3.000301.rar avic f900_700_500
  5. Really pulling my hair out on this. I have a UK F900BT which has been updated to 3.0030, and i'm trying to update it to 3.0101. I'm using the F910BT update from Pioneers UK Website, I insert the SD card into the headunit, but it refuses to start the update. It just goes into the normal headunit mode. Any ideas ? ================ I found a backup of a 3.0101 install which uncompressed and ran fine.
  6. Are you using the 2008.10 maps or the 2009.2 maps ? If you're using the 2008.10 maps, it seems to be a problem with the rivers, as that is what the blue signifies. Perhaps when the official release comes, this will be fixed. K.
  7. Can you check the Bluetooth firmware update screen, is the version number showing ? My bluetooth died and for some reason the bluetooth software got wiped! Reloading the bluetooth firmware fixed it.
  8. In the UK......... 1. Assuming that the previous owner has updated the cameras is a big ask. You may find that's not been registered and even if it has, perhaps you could ask for his logins ? But really the speed camera pois are not brilliant and often have cameras that don't exist in my area. 2. The updates do appear to be regular and come from POICON, see http://www.speedcamupdate.com 3. The traffic updates come over TMC and is free, mine often gets them from Classic FM. This does work well. 4. Look around this site, you'll find plenty of VW start up screens and mods, but ho
  9. Now if we could only get rid of the message ! All you have here is the translated message inside the language file. Really the program file calling the message string needs to be hacked and the message not called. I don't think this message file is going to help you.
  10. I use a Nokia MP-2 microphone http://europe.nokia.com/find-products/a ... ssory-mp-2 Which is easily velcro'd or taped to the roof lining as the bottom of it is flat. K.
  11. The Pioneer EU website for the F910BT states "Hands Free Dialling" for the bluetooth phone. Has Voice Control been enabled in 3.0 for the F900BT ?
  12. Today updated by F900BT v2.0001 to CHMOD 6.6.2009 with the 2009.2 UK Map, worked great this morning but this evening my bluetooth died. Deleted both the settings folders and it's working again. Thanks, K.
  13. On the European Information page for the F910BT (or whatever it's called), handsfree dialing is listed as a feature. I'm assuming this means voicecontrol, so we might see this into 3.0 firmware update in July. K.
  14. Well, as long as they add the North up and pausing the music when a phone call is made, i'll be happy.
