I been reading that this is possible, but can't find it in the manual anywhere. Can someone tell me how to add a password to the unit so i can have an anti theft thingy??? thanks!

Just curious, why do you say that? why am i saying this? please read a couple of the posts i made regarding the problems. i have listed over 15 problems. do yourself a favor. read what i wrote, and return the unit. you will NOT be happy with it. i am currently on my 3rd unit (havent installed it yet) but the first 2 had way too many problems. trust me!

ok. well i have a blackberry curve and my girl has a blackberry pearl. and both of our phones do that with the unit. and therefore YES it is the actual unit. not the phone!

haha...seems like it. cuz everyone else here never really complains about this problem. i don't know why. to me, the f90bt has soooo many problems that i am really not happy. well im gonna try installing it monday and let you know if the 3rd unit now is better or the same crap

well i don't have an HTC i have a blackberry curve w/ t-mobile, but i had the same problems. and yeah...seems like i had bad luck w/ these units

hey, yeah im gonna let you know what happens. im prob gonna install it this monday and see how it works. but just to let you know, that is going to be my third unit. i had it replaced twice so far cuz the 1st one, the bluetooth module burned out and it would never find any phones at all. and the 2nd unit the gps was lagging and the bluetooth had this problem along w/ it would trigger my radar to go off pretty often even when im in my house in the garage all the sudden.

Hey Boots, to explain to you in detail. The speedcams are KNOWN location that are set and don't move around and that data is uploaded into your POI into your gps. the police detector, if that existed, i would pay thousands of dollars for it to have it. a radar detector is good, but it detects RADAR not police. so a cop car could drive around w/o the radar on and you would never know. just think about how much this would be worth it to have a POLICE detector. u could do WHATEVER you want in a certain area you know for sure is no cop in sight. bottom line, such mod is IMPOSSIBLE

did anyone find a fix for this? or how to open the unit? i have the same exact problem as both of you

hm...i have the same exact problem with mine. i just replaced the avic-d1 antenna adapter w/ the f90bt and left the antenna where it was on my lower left side corner of the dashboard right by the windshield. i think its just the unit itself. i have the same exact problem. if you find a fix, PLEASE let me know!

yup that was EXACTLY one of my problems that i had with the unit as well. i don't think there can be anything done, its a bug in the software (one of many). i sent my unit back to the ebay seller i bought it from and got a new unit again, but haven't installed it yet. u didn't buy it off ebay, did you?? lol

make sure you have the newest firmware for the bluetooth software. check in your unit what version you are using, and then doublecheck it w/ pioneers website. that could fix the problem.

oh, so basically you never used a wire harness to connect it to, but instead tapped into the original wire harness? is that what you said?

well would you mind saying what you did so that others that run into such problem will know what the problem was. let me guess, the harness?

yeah your best bet is to just go ahead and exchange the unit. i think its the actual unit. if not, then its def your harness. have them doublecheck the harness and then see whats going on

hm...well the 60 version that i had before was a burned ebay copy of it anyway. but now with the 80mt version, it hasn't locked up on me or anything, BUT everything seem to be in "frame motion" where the vehicle seems to travel on the map in "steps" instead of a constant perfect flow like it did before. anybody else has this problem?

yeah dude thats what happened to me. in my f90 the bluetooth module was burned out, so i had to ship it back! i first had to ship it in, and then wait for a replacement. dude....i was driving for 15 days without any sound in my car and a big hole in the dashboard. get used to dealing with the f90bt, or just return it. thats what i did. so now im gonna get a d3 or wait for the new kenwood or wait n hope for pioneer to improve the f90bt

hey i would sell you my whole setup, i just installed into my BMW with a f90bt. i have 2 kenwood 12" 1200 watts EACH subwoofers. the new 2009 model KFC-W3011 subs. and 1 kenwood KAC-7204 1000Watt stereo amp. and a fierce box enclosure. I paid $540 for it, and had it since 3 weeks. I would sell it for $300/obo. and they work and are compatible perfectly

are you sure you connected the blue wire to the power antenna, the simple wire, and not the remote power antenna (the complicated wire with the connector on it? that should do the job. if not, you wired something else wrong too.

P.S. connect it to the blue power antenna, NOT the remote antenna that has a weird looking connector and some clear silicone protective around it (thats for your subwoofers)

LOL, dude im gonna try to put this without trying to to make this funny. and please excuse my humor here. LOL everyone that is reading this is probably laughing their ass off. im assuming, this is your VERY FIRST install ever made. im saying this with all due respect, but buddy...u MUST connect the blue power antenna to the blue wire you have left. the blue power antenna turns everything on and lets the sound travel to the speakers! its NOT if you have a power antenna, but it is to get EVERYTHING turned on and powered up. I understand you have the vss, reverse, brake, and blah blah bla

im sorry to tell you, but i can guarantee you 100% for sure that you do NOT have all the harness wires connected properly. either that, or you don't turn up the volume knob at all and its at zero. have somebody doublecheck the wires. especially the blue "power antenna" wire. you do have ALL the wires connected right? and did you connect it into a harness or into the stop harness by splicing the wires???

Ok, so i downloaded and burned the new 80mt version of maps for my avic d1, and now i have noticed that the car logo(arrow) is moving in steps, like picture for picture, instead of a constant perfect flow. the cndv 60mt version that i had before would have the arrow flow perfectly. my question is, could it be a bad copy of the disc, or is that with all of the 80mt versions? anybody else has that problem??
