  1. I haven't messed with my F90bt in over a year to mod but thought I'd like to upgrade my maps. I had done the big pioeer upgrade 2 years ago or whenever they offered it, then did a few mods on that. I wanted to do the hybrid 4.0 with new maps. I found igo 8 2012 q4 maps that I grabbed. I DLed the 3 files, extracted to an SD card. copied the myflash disk files to the SD. copied the map dem and poi? folders from the DLed new maps, copied them in to the SD card. Went to do the update, got an error that there was not enough space on the disk and it would only move what it could. I went ahead with t
  2. I've noticed the street names too (or lack there of). I have not played with it much at all since installing though so I don't know what the fix is for it.. I will be following this thread though! Brian
  3. To everyone saying they can share it since you don't need the serial when placing the order, think about this.. No software you buy requires your Mac address to buy, When you first install it, it combines everything to identify it with that PC. Now at some point, amybe someone will come up with a crack but just pay the 70 and stop bitching/whining . You all cried over the 130 price, you now have a chance to get it for 60 plus freight/aplicable taxes and you still whine. I really like my unit, and gladly paid 70 to enhance it even more. Brian
  4. Just ordered mine too... 60 plus 4.95 and 5.. it was not corina, maybe Beta? She mentioned that she had to update the price though.. So all was good. Just got my email confirmation. She did say though that it will most likely be end of July/August when they ship. Just wanted to make sure I locked in the lower price. Thanks for updating that it was available.. Brian
  5. Ok, so my f90Bt is showing the wrong time as well. If I try to set auto correct off, and change the time, it wil lshowe the correct time for a few, then revert back. I'm guessing the satellite signal is overriding? Kinda of like a PC on the network getting its' time information from the network it's on. hopefully because it was the weekend, they did not change the time and they will today. Brian
  6. is it a new or old BS? You will need some modules to tie it all in together also probably. I used the GMLNAV? for the signal for my DVD.. Brian
  7. Ya, my F90Bt was the same way. I tried to manually adjust the time, and it resets it back on it's own. I would think it was as simple as setting the time on the satellites? However that works since that seems to be where it is updating from now... Brian
  8. It will fit, here is my recent install in my 08 silverado. Pretty similar set up. Even have pics of my trimming behind the radio and how it failed (end results on the trim were not what I expected) Just make sure you get the right harnesses! Brian
  9. Hey man, I updated my ipod with the 10 dollar 2.2.1 update and the video now works with the Pioneed cable! Thanks a bunch. I was skeptical, but it worked. Kinda grainy resolution since the touch is so much smaller, but still decent. Thanks!!! And I apologize for doubting you Brian
  10. I just checked. only update available is 2.2.1 which is the pay one for apps. I don't think my v 1.5.something is the problem :/ Brian
  11. I bought an apple cable Friday, installed it, still no video. Pulled it out and took it back for my 40 dollars back. Still no video with my touch.. :/ Brian
  12. under av settings, I have the first one connected to Ipod.
  13. I am using a touch, my f90bt has the 2.0 update. Thanks Brian
  14. Isn't the USB cable perm attached to the HU? Also, you say the f90bt will play video from the touch/iphone? Mine will not. the video button is grayed out. I am assuming it is due to the cable? If I buy the apple cable, will it recognize video then? Thanks, Brian
  15. What I did for my chevy was bought the factory tailgate bezel that had the tailgate camera mount (was only 30 bucks). I bought the BOYO VTK 350 (it was only 35 shipped off Ebay from hookedontronics) camera, mounted it where the OEM camera goes (luckily chevy ones aim at an angle and nto straight out) if you did not know what the OEM camera looks like (totally flush) you would not know this unit was not the factory camera. Looks VERY nice. will have it functioning this weekend. The cameras do have angled shim kits that can be added between the camera and the body to give you angle, only problem
  16. I just found an interesting link. Has me thinking.. I may have to take a PC apart at work today to test it out. The pins for a PC motherboard connector look kind of similar, and this guy is using them for a Pioneer IP BUS mod, so they may work! http://stereophonik.com/gutterslide/IP-BUS_Hack/ Anyone tried them for anything? Brian
  17. I had not thought of other harnesses. Thanks for the suggestion. I have some old harnesses at the house I can check when I get home.. As far as not NEEDING it, I know, I'm pretty particular about having things that are supposed to work work.. AGain, thanks for all the replies. Brian
  18. Thanks for the reply superman, BUT I need that wire for mute.. Hence the reason I am trying to find another wire. Thanks though. Brian
  19. Ya, it looks like Onstar will not mute the Avic without that connection. Either way, I'd like to keep it. I do have 2 other accessory lines though, one coming off of the GMAHLAN and one coming off of the GMLNAV (ties all the wires you need for install together for VSS and reverse and some others together) so I am going to use the accessory off of the harness for the bypass wire. Thanks for the views and comments. I think I have it figured out. Brian
  20. Well, that was a fail. the pin diameter is larger for the pins on the black harness. I am thinking about just doing the software mod, or disconnecting the rear video pins and connect one of those there. I've still got a few days... Has anyone bought a replaceement plug/ idea on cost? Thanks for the reply. Brian
  21. I will be installing my F90BT this weekend. I need to use the mute wire for my onstar retention. I have been reading and reading and reading, and did not see a definative answer but it LOOKS like I can attach another wire where the mute wire is moved to, leaving the mure wire in tact and working properly? I am thinking about the power antenna wire since I do not have a power ant. I am going to verify it uses the same pin layout. I don't see why not, so I should be able to put it in the 4th hole between the 2 black wires and everything will be golden? Thanks. Brian
  22. OK, I am installing an F90BT. I already did the wire swap portion of my bypass (was still waiting for the rest of my gear to show up_). Got most of my stuff today. This is all going into a 2008 Chevy Silverado. The interface for the gmlan wants you to connect the mute wire to a wire on it for onstar. Wondering where to connect that wire now or how to work that. Thanks in advance Brian
