:BUMP: Just trying to see which files are the most current to use

I have the 700 as well in my 2000 Explorer. I am the opposite, I think it sounds GREAT! The quality and volume from the premium speakers is very good and I added a cool sub woofer enclosure and amp for the back. So now I KICK ass.. I was unsure if adding the sub would over power the main speakers but it is fine! So the point is it must be something with your old factory amp etc.... I get it to 50 or 54 and it is LOUD!!!! Did you try the loudness option? Mine is on low. EQ set to powerful??

Get the proper Ipod cable and connect the RCA's up. You will be glad you did in the end.

I highly suggest you guys get an iPod! The VR control alone is worth it and I have not had any problems playing any songs. Please don't flame me, just trying to help

It is a known issue. I would also LOVE to have it pause. No known hacks that I have read about.

I also personally think one should be added for themes/graphics/icons etc... At least for the "F" series. Leave the rest as is.

What is the exact version (date) of the maps that ship with the AVIC? EDIT: never mind

I was thinking of restoring all the files as it was out of the box. My thought is something in the software config got corrupted and a FULL restore would fix it hopefully. I am unsure just a 2.0 update will do as the corruption may still be there. I would get a factory FULL system backup and restore to that. The very first thing I did was backup the entire system to a folder on my SD card.

Since I am in the USA can I just copy the MPH ones? I figured I would save space since I will never use KMH. They won't ever play anyway right? Also where do the AUDIO files go? Is it the APL2\VBT\AUDIO folder?

Can't you guys just restore the software back to factory? If you did not back up your system files (I am unsure why you wouldn't) I am sure you can get them from some one here. If it is a software glitch this has to fix it. Unless it is a hardware thing.

I just changed mine back one time zone. I am -5 and I changed it to -4. Easy breezy

I really like this one. I wish it was an Explorer though then I would use it Maybe one in blue instead of red?

You know when I first started looking for a new HU I found this site. I read all the negatives and the positives. I honestly did not want to spend $1000+ for a HU. I got my 700BT for $406. I got that as I did not need to play DVD's. I even have the buildings and speedcams etc.. displayed with the hacks which are easy to install. I have only had my HU for a few weeks now but so far I have hacked it and it is running fine for me. It takes a min or so to start but that is not a huge deal for me. Most everything else is working fine. There are a few quarks but nothing that was "really" annoyin

Okay guys. I noticed that this new +1MB files has all the TYPE fields as 5 and some 3's. No speed settings. The files from the other thread; Red_Light_Camera_us and Speed_Trap.txt have TYPE's of 7 and contains speed settings. I am assuming the TYPE means something So now I am confused to which file is better? How does it know the difference from a Speed cam or Red Light or are they the exact same thing?

Oh man this is the ticket. Thanks guys! It responds almost OEM now. I was starting to hate that delay between presses. I just renamed my files to "-old" at the end. Works great.

Looks sweet but MSRP $2K? I think I will stick to my little $400 unit for awhile. My 700 has been working pretty well so far but it is early days. Besides it won't be long for someone to totally re-write the software for this thing I do admit though that the larger screen is cool. if the VR is better and I can use my current iPod cable, HD box and Steering wheel adapter that would entice me more. Damn you putting this in my head now

Ordered mine through Amazon.com it shipped from Discount Jungle and came very fast. No problems with the unit at all and it had the 2.0 updated on it. Never pay for extra fast shipping unless it is overnight. You usually get it the same if it is 3-5 days or 2 weeks shipping. Amazon.com is a GREAT place to order though as you get some protection from Amazon even though they are just the middle man. The only thing I was mad about is two weeks after I ordered mine for $409 I seen it on Amazon for $348-ish. I emailed Amazon but they would not give me the difference

Where is that at? Is that the one on Babcock Blvd? That is right near my house Herkguy I am not an installer but would be willing to give you a hand if you need it. I did mine myself and it was very easy thanks to all the great advice here.

Nice job on these scripts. Two things. One; pressing the clock does not blank the screen for me. I am unsure I care Two; is there a way to change the green "bar" at the top to another color? I would like the clock say dark red, dark blue or black with white numbers. Just so it stands out a bit more than the green.

bump I call up some genera's and would like those shuffled. Sometimes I call up a CD and do NOT want that to shuffle. I discovered there is no way to turn the shuffle on or off by voice. To turn it on or off requires a few key presses and that is hard when driving. Is there an easy way that I can just have a fast one button shuffle on/off??

I have not tried this but it "MAY" work. Try creating a playlist of all your tracks and then use that. It may play a playlist random as opposed to telling it to simply play all. I only mention this as I have seen it in other players. Cannot hurt

Just asking, are you patched to the latest BT version? If not get the files here. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... e+Download I am not saying it will fix your problem but it is usually good to stay patched. I have not had this happen to me yet but I just got the thing last week

Hey guys. I was wondering if it were possible to turn the Shuffle ALL button into a shuffle on/off instead? I will never want to shuffle everything and would like the ease of a one hit button. Having to hit FUNC and then turn it on/off seems a bit cumbersome while driving.
